I am under my dads insurance and he works at firestone/bridgestone and the insurance is unitedhealth care. does anyone know anything about the insurance policy regarding this surgery? btw i am only 37.2bmi and have no problems as far as i know.

All you need to do is call the # on your card and ask. Some companies cover the procedure but certain employers exclude all forms of bariatric surgery. You will want to call them and ask if they do cover bariatric surgery, and what you need to do to qualify. Make notes of who you talk too and what they say. Insurance can be tricky- but once you find out the info you need approval should be easy as long as you have your ducks in a row. Good luck!
