Anyone Use Dr. Nusbaum In Nj?

I'm so excited I had to post, lol.. I managed to get in 70 grams of Protein today and boy was it not easy!!! I guess my doc visit yesterday really drilled the message in, lol That really is cause for celebration for me cause even tho I'll be 4 weeks out on Thursday I'm certain my average daily protein intake has been around 30-35g which is pretty bad not to mention my average of 3-4 cups of Water each day .... I'm working on getting up to 6 cups of water before the night is over, yesterday i got in 7 cups. I'm just stoked that I managed to get that much protein in within the day! I had more energy today too go figure! I'm alternating protein Isopure powder shakes, GNC vanilla and costco premier chocolate (breakfast lunch and dinner) I truly don't want to end up back in the ER or have too much hair and muscle loss simply because I'm not complying. Hope everyone is staying on track and keeping warm!!!

WAY TO GO!!! Keep it up and I bet you will be back to "spinning" soon!!! So happy for you:)

Hello Mkak! So nice to hear from a veteran! How are you doing now? Your wt loss results are fenaminal! How much wt did you lose in 1st, 2nd months? Did you have any stalls? I've read that about 6 months after the surgery a lot of people admit having much less sleeve resistance. And most important question for me: did you had food cravings before the surgery? And if yes, did it come back? Sorry for bombarding with so many questions. Each surgeon has his own stile and a lot of post op symptoms may be same for us. I would really appreciate your answers. Thanks in advance!

Hi there! I forgot to report back the other day. -20 month 1 and -19.3 month 2!

How are u? Is all well? I'm having some set backs and will be 4 months out tomorrow, 4/12

Gastritis and suture inflammation make it hard to consume anything -- just about 10 pounds from goal but miserable about my condition

Phys asst says I will likely have to remain on full liquids for another 2 months (ugh!!)

I'm human and I should be eating solids.

Lost about 60 since surgery and 80 since I started my journey in October 2013

I would never advocate wls as everyone's healing process is so different. Happy I've lost weight and everyone says i look good but not happy about all of the problems I'm facing ...

Gastritis

Suture inflammation

Back pain

food intolerances

hair loss -severe

Dehydration and Constipation

This should all pass I hope and pray

Oh wow! So sorry your having issues like that. No fun at all! I am sure it will get better once the gastritis is under control. I am now a week out and doing very well. No issues at all. I hope it stays this way. I will be praying for you, keep in touch :)

His office manager shelly made a big mistake, gave me the wrong instructions one night and lied about it so of course the innocent patient gets blamed. The doc was unfortunately woken up during my ER Visit recently, got upset then sent his assistant Joan to my hospital room minutes b4 my endoscopy to be nasty and blame me for his office manager's mistake

I didn't want or need to be in the ER that night but that is exactly what his office manager told me to do and I thought she knew what she was talking about and confirmed it with the doctor. She was loud and clear for everyone in the waiting room to hear her-- it's really all very sad because I had so much respect and appreciation for the doctor and Joan but I won't tolerate the disrespect or false accusations. All the respect I had for them went straight out my hospital room window the morning of my endoscopy

I will surely miss Sweta, Wanda and Carla without a doubt. They are were all so very helpful and respectful

Good luck with your post op experience there but beware of any instruction from Shelly - I suggest getting it all in writing and confirming with Sweta or Wanda if you have to

I've never dealt with anything like this ever before and would never disrespect one on my healthcare professionals but life goes on

Any recent experiences with Dr. Nusbaum? He did my lapband but it's giving me problems. I'm going through all the approval appointments now for a revision to the sleeve.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
