So, I've been reading about the chia. Should I let them gel or just eat them straight with LOTS of Water? I'm still pre-op so my use for them is more hunger control and internal sweeping.

So, wet or dry? And same benefits either way?

I tried making the gel, it was nasty. It had no taste, but still made me gag. I have really enjoyed putting them in my Protein shakes and then drinking immediately. I've also been putting them in SF pudding cups. Yesterday I mixed them into some scrambled eggs, that was good. Probably would be good mixed up in Peanut Butter. I've also been meaning to mix some into orange juice.

It's the same benefit whether you let them gel or not. They are going to gel in our stomach. If you do eat them dry, be sure you are hydrated, or hydrate immediately afterward because they will be looking for some liquid to absorb.

Thank you. I've just been taking a spoonful in the morning with my Protein Drink then lots of Water. Been slow going for these first few days but I'm sure it's just transition.

I saw a drink in the store that was a chia infused drink.

Also heard you can use something other than water for it to gel like juice. Better flavor, but I'm a texture sensitive gal so downing the dry seeds is good for me.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
