My nut allowed it. I just have to watch it because I can eat way too much of it. Lots of calories.

PB2! Try it! It's powdered defatted peanuts. Tastes exactly like real Peanut Butter when mixed with a tiny bit of Water. Very low fat and low in calories. You have to order it from Amazon or from the PB2 website.

I just picked up PB2 at a health food store near my house. It is amazing! You can add the powder to your chocolate Protein Shake for a reeses flavored shake. They also make chocolate Peanut Butter flavored as well. Only 45 calories in 2 tablespoons, compared to 190 calories in peanut butter. Oh yeah, and in case I didn't say it, it tastes amazing!

Has anyone had more heartburn/reflux from the Peanut Butter? I am pre-op still but when I eat PB it aggravates my reflux. I'm hoping this will change after...or at least not get worse :)

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
