How Many Calories/exercise Are You Getting?

Recommended Posts

I am 7 weeks out today and was wondering how many calories and exercise everyone is getting in at this point. Personally I shoot for 600-700 cals and am jogging&walking about 4 times a week (1.5 miles). I do not know if this is normal or not.

I just want everyone to post what they are doing :) also, I would love if everyone left their myfitnesspal info so we can be friends!

I'm not on MFP but, I'm getting about 800 cals per day and walking 3 miles per day 6 days per week. I'm going to start bumping up the exercise though.

Almost 6 months out, and I always shoot for 800 calories (sometimes I miss the shot and hit 900;) ) and I usually burn between 450- 550 calories 5 days/week. I use the elliptical for an hour M-F.

I'm 7 weeks post-op today and eat between 500-650 calories a day. My typical day at the Y consists of an hour of walking (at 3.0mph, with a 1% incline) followed by an hour of Water aerobics. I do that twice a day (8-10 am, and 6-8 pm), Monday-Thursday. Friday I only do the morning. Saturday and Sunday I walk an hour twice a day (no water aerobics classes offered on the weekends). I burn a little under 900 calories a day walking...the water aerobics adds another 600-800 calories, depending on the intensity of the class. :)

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
