How Do U Mix The Protein Powders In Hot Beverages?

Be tried mixing my Matrix & Unjury protein powders in hot tea & coffee & just get this curdled mess! I have recipes that say u can, but I can't get it to turn out. What am I doing wrong?

If coffee or tea is too hot, you cannot mix it in. It breaks down the protein and you get your curdled mess. You need to let it cool a little first before adding. I used to mix it into my broth with success, but always had to let it cool a little.

According to Unjury's site, protein powders coagulate at temperatures above 130-140F, just like an egg white. Either lower the temperature first, or mix it cold and slowly heat it up.

Thanks! Cooling 1st totally worked. So did microwaving in several increments & stirring between instead of 1 long time also worked. :)
