Hi Everyone,

My name is Gina from NJ and I will be heading into Mexico on Nov 7th. I too have a countdown on my phone and just so excited to start this new beginning. :D

I chose the date because it is after my birthday (Oct 29th) and I can say that being 31 is going to rock as is every year there after! I also purchased a timeshare and I am just ready to be healthy, start vacationing and living my life. I did not vacation much before because being "fat" and a beach for me did not work nor going to amusement parks because I did not want the embarassement of not fitting on a ride. I am also looking forward to hopefully being able to conceive a child since I have not been able to thus far.

I think I am prepared for my journey to begin, I have stocked up on Unjury protien, some Isopure protien drinks and also a blender thingy to puree my foods when I get to that stage. I should be set for a little bit after I get home from surgery.

Lets count down them days my fellow November Sleevers!!!

Hi' date=' Nicole. I'm new here, too. I'm hoping to revise from LapBand to either the sleeve or the bypass. Are you having the bypass? If so, how did you make that decision. I had decided on the sleeve but then an endoscopy showed my esophagus to be like "ground hamburger" so I'm not thinking I should maybe go with the bypass since the sleeve can cause more reflux. I never thought I wanted a bypass because it seemed too extreme to me, but now I'm trying to come to grips with the possibility. Any thoughts would be appreciated![/quote']

I am actually having the sleeve. It's least intrusive than the bypass (in my opinion). And the lapband would be more time consuming to get it adjusted appropriately. I live about an hour n half from Vegas so I do not have the luxury of "running" off to Vegas everytime I needed an adjustment. I definitely have time for my appointments for the sleeve. After discussing and researching I've decided on the sleeve.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
