Tip For Protein Ice Cream

Recommended Posts

I had tried making Protein off Eggface's Blog before, and was so not happy with it. I tried to split it up into different little containers and freeze. I didn't want to have to thaw out a whole batch to eat some of it. Ended up having to falling out of my freeze, uneven melting, etc. So I gave up on it. That was until another another sleever told me "oh, I just pour mine in popsicle molds". Holy S**T, I said to myself, how come I never thought of that.

So if you are having trouble with protein ice cream or storing it, try freezing it in popsicle molds. Then you just pop out one at a time. Portion Control and a nice yummy, creamy treat!!

I have one of those little dessert freezers that you put the container in the deep freeze overnight and next day pour in your ice cream mix and turn it on to spin. I never thought of making ice cream with the shakes! Sounds yummy! Another thing you could do if you wanted a creamier texture is put it into a zip-lock bag and freeze and squeeze every couple of hours. I will see if I can get me some popcicle molds too!

I have an ice cream maker, just mix up and pour in and viola, Ice Cream!..I have been experimenting trying to find good combinations, but is sure a nice change from the mundane!

making popsicles is easy with paper cups and the wooden sticks you can buy in the dolllar store or a craft store. They are sold in large quanties and I've even be able to reuse them(washing up in between of course)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
