What Do You Tell People

Recommended Posts

I told close frieds and family before I had surgery. I told co workers when I got back. It will be pretty hard to hide if you eat lunch with anyone. Trust me.. they will notice the toddler size portion of food you eat. I also had this fear that I would have this done and somehow fail. I really didn't want people to know if I failed. Now that I have lost a pretty big amount of weight I am more open about it.

When I broke the news to my family and close friends I had received mixed reactions. I lost two "close" friends and my family is supportive. My gym buddies stopped going to the gym with me because they didn't want my quick weight loss depressing their efforts. The kicker... My surgery isn't till aug 14th! I decided not to post it on FB. If someone wants to know my weight loss secret, I will tell them. If they don't like the answer, that's their problem. I'm happy and excited about my decision and that's all that matters :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
