Have any of you noticed that some peoples pants size/weight don't really match up? For example, I weighed 324.2 at the start of my journey and I wore a 20/22. I've noticed a lot of people say they were in 20/22 but they weigh a lot less than me..like mid 200s-260 ish. Is it true some people weigh heavy? I've always thought I must weigh heavy. Oh, and I haven't tried my jeans on to see if I've went down a size or not, so I'm assuming I'm probably still a 20/22, maybe they'll be loose now. Oh, and I'm 19.2 pounds down and will be 2 weeks post op tomorrow. :)

I think it depends on where your weight is distributed. Upper body, lower body, all over - My heaviest was 268 and I too was a size 20.

I think height plays a factor in it also

Yes height definitely matters. I'm 6'1" and 285lbs and can wear a 20.

Yes, it must be weight distribution because I'm 5'8" and at 344lbs I was in a size 28 and it wasn't loose! But I'm very hippy and bootylicious. :)

I'm 5;4" (on a "tall" day).... :)

My pre-op weight was 319 lbs and I was having some challenges with various size 28 pants (depending on the style).

I'm now down 52 lbs and can get comfortably into most size 26 pants (with room to spare), but even fit in to a variety of size 24 pants (again, depending on the style).

I carry most of my weight in my hips, butt and thighs, but my abdomen is/was no slouch either!

Someday (not too far away) I hope to fit easily into single digits!

Height has a lot to do with it if your 6'0 tall and weigh 200 pounds with a size 10 you look pretty small but if your 5'2 200 pounds wearing size 10 you look a lot bigger.

I am 5'6 and 250 amd wear a 20 or 22. I also carry most of my weight in my waist.

My addication is CARBS so that is why my waistline is so huge. I carry all my weight in my upper body.

Well I'm 5'4 and carry most of my weight in my stomach/upper body. I guess its just weird to see how much it varies between us women. I imagine I will get down to 250 and be in a size 12? Thanks for the responses, ladies! :) I can always count on this forum to have great feedback! :)

i wear bigger sized clothing because my hips are so big. that and i've never been comfortable with clothing being too tight so i wear my tops larger than most would.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
