My dr. gave me a prescription for Lortab Liquid for the post-op pain. I was wondering if it was effective and how much did you pay for it. I have no prescription insurance and was curious if I should send it through Canada or have it filled here at the pharmacy. Thanks.

Most pharmacies can flavor liquids for a small fee. I know wal-greens does it for about $3. ~Mandy

It was nasty, but I found it very helpful on the days where I was in pain.

Pain is not your friend when you are healing from surgery. Don't let it get away from you, it's easier to control when you stay on top of it, rather than waiting until you are in agony.

They gave me 5 of the 16oz bottles with a refill for 5 more, but I didn't like the taste at alll. Seems like it is better in the fridge. I called the Dr. back and he put be back on the pill form of the 10mg. and I half it and it goes down fine. I just make sure and drink lots of water after. I'm not taking them from the pain from surgery, I didnt need anything for that pain. I use them because of earlier 3rd degree burns, skin stretching, and disc removed in my neck last year and now spinal fluid building up in my neck and another ruptured disc. They are my friends right now, I've tried percocet, darvocet, all of them and Loritab is the only one that works for me.
