My fantasy is that me and my wonderful husband of 32 years could be dropped of on a deserted island for about a month and live off of nothing but love, kinda like the Blue Lagoon, only no baby!

My fantasy is being a petite size, flat stomach (my most problematic area!), and above all: getting married in my dream wedding dress which will only work with a certain type of figure, if you know what I mean. Don't know if any of it will ever happen (without a tummy tuck!) but a gal can dream...

My fantasies are pretty simple....just to be able to change in front of my husband, get in or out of the shower with him in the room, be excited about going on a tropical vacation and wear a swimsuit (maybe not even a bikini) and be able to book one of the nice, romantic hotel suites with the jacuzzi tub we can both fit in.....Ive avoided all of these since the day we got married (almost 4 yrs) just want to be able to enjoy these things with my hubby!

Never been married....

I live on a tiny island in the Cayman Islands with about 180 people. Needless to say, the dating pool is really really small! All of my co-workers are in their late 20's to early 30's.... so, my fantasy is to drop 120 pounds and have all the hot guys on the island come a calling.... one at a time!

This one is evil...I have already had one mini-victory when my ex-husband saw me a few months ago after not seeing me in over a year. He doesn't know I had surgery. We didn't speak but the look on his face was...priceless! Now I can't wait to run into him again so he can see how even better and happy I look. The woman he cheated with sent me a text last year with their picture saying "thank you for the best gift of my life, he is a better man without you". Now she is bigger than I was and they have a baby. I wont ever stoop to her level to send her a text...but you can sure bet I have been posting new pictures to FB and leaving them as public! :-)

My hubby is fine with my weight and I'm usually pretty confidant about how I look

BUT

I just want to keep my boobs!!!!!!! lol!!!

All the weight just seems to be coming off them, not my big cookie tummy!!!!

Also, it would be great to keep up at the gym with my lil sis!!!!!!!

I just don't want to end up like my dad - he takes 12 or so types of medication for everything from high blood pressure, hypertension, diabetes etc.

I just want to be healthy.

Fantasy weight would be 120 which is what I weighed before kids. I'm 5'0". Although I'm sad to say my boobs and skin will never look as good as back then! I started at 205 ... highest weight was 215. Now weigh 157. My realistic goal is 135,but you never know!

Ok... no one's been this bold so far.... I want to be able to have sex with my hubby in any position we want! I'm tired of being limited by my size.

There, I said it!

I can't wait for my mother to see me at goal weight. When I lost 90 lbs. with WW the first comment she made was "99% of people gain all the weight back." Never a congratulations. I won't get it this time, but I am going to show her I can do it again, and this time be prepared - her favorite response to ANY good news is to snort, roll her eyes and turn around (yes I know, this is what I really need to get OVER!)

And my next goal is to be too small for my wedding dress by next April 5th for my 10 year wedding anniversary. I got pregnant with my first child within months of the wedding and gained so much weight I wouldn't even pull the dress out and have it properly cleaned. It was just too depressing. I would love to have a portrait done with my husband in that dress. Of course he looks better than he did the first time! (And then post it to Facebook - not only because a college ex recently friended me!)

So I just started a new job and was told that one of the people at the divisional group asked before she me me, "What does she look like? and Am I still the thinnest and prettiest in the group." Although she is thin, she is not very pretty. I would like to knock her off of that role.

I am new here today... and only two weeks out from my sleeve surgery on the 23rd. I am amazed I have kept my calories down to 467 today so far... that leaves me almost 750 left for dinner and maybe a snack. This is going to be tough for two weeks... but I have to believe I can do it!

Hey everyone. I'm new here so I thought I should introduce myself. I am 53y/o and am scheduled for Gastric Bypass on June 25th, 2025. I'm located in San Antonio, Texas. I will be having my surgery in Tiajuana Mexico. I've wanted this for years, but I always had insurance where bariatric procedures were excluded. Finally I am able to afford to pay out of pocket.  I can't wait to get started, and I hope I'm prepared for the initial period of "hell". I know what I have signed up for, but I'm sure the good to come will out way the temporary period of discomfort and feelings of regret. I'd love to find people to talk to who have been through the same procedure or experience before. So I look forward to meeting you all. Hope you have a great week!

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

I hope your surgery on Wednesday goes well. You will be able to do all sorts of new things as you find your new normal after surgery. I don't know this from experience yet, but I am seeing a lot of positive things from people who have had it done. Best of luck!

Life as a big person had limited my life to what I knew I could manage to do each day. That was eat. I hadn't anything else to look forward to. So my eating choices were the best I could dream up. I planned the cooking in managable lots in my head and filled my day with and around it.

Now I have a whole new big, bigger, biggest, best days ever. I am out there with those skinny people doing stuff i could never have dreamt of. Food is now an after thought. It doesn't consume my day. I still enjoy the good home cooked food but I eat smaller portions. I leave food on my plate when I am full. I can no longer hear my mother's voice saying eat it all up, ther are starving children in Africa who would want that!

I still cook for family feasts, I love cooking. I still do holidays but I have changed from the All inclusive drinking and eating everything everyday kind to Self catering accommodation. This gives me the choice of cooking or eating out as I choose. I rarely drink anymore as I usually travel alone now and I feel I need to keep aware of my surroundings.

I don't know at what point my life expanded, was it when I lost 100 pounds? Was it when I left my walking stick at home ? Was it when I said yes to an outing instead of finding an excuse to stay home ? i look back at my last five years and wonder how loosing weight has made such a difference. Be ready to amaze yourself.

BTW, the liquid diet sucks, one more day and you are over the worst. You can do it.
