Gastric Sleeve And Ventral Abdominal Hernia Surgery Anyone Else?

Hello Everyone...I am new to this group (been lurking for the past few months), I am tentatively scheduled for both surgeries (Gastric sleeve & Abdominal Hernia) on August 27th...Getting a little nervous, but looking forward to a healthier life for myself and my 5 & 2 year old daugter & son....I'm not as nervous about the sleeve as I am about the hernia repair (UGH), has anyone else had an abdominal repair and Sleeve surgery together, I asked the NP at my last appt how long the hospital stay would be and she said the same 2 days, seems a short time to recover from having both done together?....She said the actual pain level of the sleeve surgery is not too bad, but that the hernia repair is going to be what gives me my most pain with the tacs, etc...

Anyone who had similar experience and would like to share I would greatly appreciate!!

Thanks so much everyone, this forum has been such a good companion for the last few months!! Now my time is almost Here!!! Can't wait to get on the losers bench already!!

Oh and did i mention I quit smoking too!! LOL i am a Mess, but in a few months I know I will be a healthy lighter MESS!! haha

Hi! I had hernia repair too. I didn't feel any different? To me it was just one surgery and my recovery was a breeze. Good luck and congrats on kicking the habit!!!

Hi and welcome to the forums!

I only had a VSG, so I cant help you with your question, but just wanted to say that I loved your smile in the pic and the kiddo is adorable! :)

I pray that the surgeries go smoothly and you have a speedy recovery!
