Losing Weight During Tom

Recommended Posts

Am I the only one that seems to lose better during TOM? I didn't lose anything from July 1st - 10th. On July 11th I saw signs that TOM was about to hit. I started losing that day and have lost weight every day since. I went from 234.8 on 7/10 to 231.4 today. It is the BEST part of TOM in my opinion. :)

Be glad that you are different in this case!! :)

TOM seems to be my worst enemy right now. I was sleeved on 11th of Jan. My TOM is mostly around 25th. I will lose fabulosly during 1st two weeks of the month, then it will slow gradually and then come to a stand still close to atleast 10 - 15 days around TOM. It is so frustrating.

Yes, you're alone in this and I'm jealous! I had about a three pound GAIN every month around my cycle, with a week on either side where I'd usually stay within half a pound on the scale. Closer to mid-cycle (ovulation), I'd drop all of my weight for the month in one week.

Even in maintenance I see a gain around TOM. Be thankful. We never know how our hormones will affect us!

It's different for me every month. Most will tell you days 15-21 are awesome for weight loss because, if your hormones are working properly, and you get the testosterone burst -- you lose more. I slow down between days 24-03 the most, perhaps losing/gaining the same pound for a week. Then it kicks in again.

You are not alone, atleast from my part.

I now only really loose weight around my time of month, pretty much only loose then nowadays, but loose 4 kgs/8 pounds over a few days.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
