Can't the office staff write the letter? I'm sure they have a rubber stamp of his signature someplace! Did they double and triple check your file? Can't wait to hear his excuse!

That's terrible service! :( when we depend (and pay) for their service! I would be extremely upset too, I'm so sorry this has happened x

Let me guess, he doesn't have a weight problem! Neither does the insurance lady in my office. I would call on a Friday and not have my call returned. You think they would be used to working with anxious women who struggle with the decision to even do it and once the decision is made, want it done NOW! lol Keep us posted!

That's good ! I agree it sounds complacent, which is not the attitude you should get. it's not acceptable if they don't understand how we feel, we Do not want to hear excuses we want action! Let me know how you get on. I'm sending all my positive strength your way xoxo

How long have you been on a pre-op or liquid diet?

Hi,

I've been on the pre op since the 22nd. It's getting easier the longer I'm on it.

Agreed! I started Wednesday, which was a few days earlier than I needed to. Yesterday (well it's still my today since I work nights) was rough! I was finally satisfied by some beef broth. I find the warm liquids make me feel more full. Anyone else getting that?

Agreed! I had some chicken broth and it was like heaven!

September 4th! How exciting and scary at the same time!

I was much more nervous earlier on. I feel much more confident and happy about the surgery the closer it gets.

Day 4 of liquid diet. I have a call in to Dr's nurse to ask her the following question too. Just wondering though - for those of you who have acid reflux, are you finding that its worse on the liquid diet? I want to eat something solid, just to see if it gets better.

I found out today that one of the ladies where I work had a RNY 2 weeks ago. It's kind of comforting to know that I'll have daily face to face contact with someone who is going through a similar journey.

One week to go!

The first couple of days my reflux was worse. I took tums. After day 5 no reflux at all...I have no idea what happened but whatever it is I'm glad!

I'm not till Sept 25th. Hate how busy my Dr is that Sept 25 is the earliest open date! I haven't been put on any liquid diets yet but I decided to try a modified one to get me started. Protein Shakes and Water all day and sensible dinner. What a b***h I've become until dinner time! Headaches and omg I'm moody! How do you get around this? Going back to teaching in a few days until my surgery date. I can't be a b***h to my students. My 3 and 5 year olds are driving me nuts! Any advice?

You and me BOTH!! I'm so grumpy it's ridiculous! I just want to chew something. I've been almost tempted to chew food and spit it out in a cup just for a different flavor. I haven't cheated yet. I'm on a full liquid diet. Since 8/22 when I started it, I've had crazy headaches the later in the day it became. Wanna hear the best part? It's that very special time of the month, so all the grumpiness and cravings are intensified. YAY. SOOOOO excited for Sept. 4th! I never thought I would be so excited to start eating what I call babyfood (pureed stuff) a week after surgery. These days need to hurry!!!

So annoyed right now! I begged my husband not to work on my school holiday, sept 17 & 18 because I was hoping for surgery one of those days. Got Sept. 25 instead. Just got a call from surgeons off that they have an opening on the 17 th! Yea! But now hubby is rolling his eyes at me because he is scheduled to work on those two days! If he would of just listened to me, this wouldnt be an issue. Really considering pushing the issue because it would give an extra 9 days to heal before going to Disney in November.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
