I was terrified and the closer it got to my date' date=' the less I was sleeping from worrying about what if's. It's perfectly normal. I'd worry if you weren't scared. Hang in there . Before you know it, it will be over and you'll be on the losers bench too. I'll save you a seat. :)[/quote']

Save me a seat too!!! Lol

I had to do a two-week pre-op diet where I lost nearly 20 lbs. Since I felt so successful on the pre-op diet' date=' I thought I did not need the surgery. Up till the moment I was put under, I almost backed out. I thought I would die under the "knife" or that I was just making a dumb decision. I did not back out and I am THRILLED with the process. I feel wonderful and know this is the best decision outside of deciding to have children. :)

On a side note, and please don't think I am being critical. But I do not care for it when people refer to this as "a new life." Your live will still be your life, you will still have the same problems and issues. I think of this process as my new attitude towards myself and the way I interact with food.[/quote']

It's not a new life but I do think it s a new life style.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
