Is Anyone In The Cleveland Area

Recommended Posts

I am not scheduled for surgery yet, but I am in Akron. I will have mine at the Kaiser facility in Parma; I think it used to be Parma Community Hospital?

Good luck.

I just finished all testing and 3 month diet. I live in Parma and will be having my surgery at the Cleveland Clinic.

I was going to have the procedure done at St Vincent but I would have had to pay $350 out of pocket plus the cost of the psych evaluation. Don't have to pay anything at the Clinic.

I have bcbs and my plan plainly sucks. I have to pay $3800 out of pocket plus my insurance did not pick up the phyc evaluation which was another $250.. But it will be worth it in the long run. I had to diet for 6 months and just got mg date last week.. I find myself on this site alot to know what to expect from the sleeve.

The Clinic makes you go through testing EKG, chest X-ray, bloodwork in addition to the psych evaluation and nutrition appt and their medical doctor. All those have to clear you before they submit to insurance. I've been cleared all of them but have not met with the surgeon yet. That appt is 6/27. I can't wait.

I hope all goes good and fast for you. I think after my pre admit testing things will fly. The only really big thing im worried about is that im having my sons graduation party 10 days after surgery. But my friends promised helping me and do all the lifting...

Yes I'm sure things will work out well for you with the graduation party. I'm really hoping I will be having my surgery around the same time as you. I'm 253 now and I have to be 246 for them to do the surgery but I know I will lose that doing the 2 week fast.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
