Who Still Drinks Caffeine In The Morning??

Recommended Posts

I really really enjoy my 1 cup of tea or 1 cup of coffee in the a.m. with caffeine. I usually don't eat Breakfast, just the tea or coffee. Is anyone else still drinking 1 cup of caffeine in the a.m. I know they say no caffeine, so I was wondering. Thanks!

Try and do a little breakfast though, it will start up your metabolism HOURS earlier than usual and speed up the weight loss.

I was never told no caffeine. I drink unsweet tea all day. I would hate to go without it.

Me too, coffee with caffeine in the the morning, one cup early afternoon, and Decaf while I'm watching TV at night. Nobody told me caffeine was out, and I was also served coffee in the hospital! I don't see why we would need to change something like this for the sake of the band?

Deana.

Most of what I've read says no caffeine for a few weeks while you are healing from your surgery, but I dont know many people who actually abstain from it....it's such an addiction. I've never been a coffee drinker but since I've discovered using Protein powders in it, I enjoy it a lot....it's like a great sweet treat in the mornings. (coffee plus a scoop of vanilla/cinnamon protein, or a scoop of cappacino protein, or scoop of chocolate protein.....etc).

I will say I cut down a LOT prior to surgery and put myself mainly on Decaf becuase I suspected I wouldnt have the stomach capacity for coffee afterwards and I was right. coffee filled me up and meant I couldnt fit in more nutritious liquids.

I didnt want to ahve to deal with caffeine withdrawal whilst I was recovering, so cut down gradually over months.

But I"m back to my regular consumption now, I love my coffee.

I couldnt imagine NOT having my moning coffee (speaking of which, let me grab a sip). Right after surgery I didnt have the taste for it. And it seems like I had to slowly introduce it back into my morning routine. 2 years later and everything is fine. 3-4 cups a morning, and some days an ice-coffee later in the day.

Good luck - and remember, if you cant tolerate it NOW, wait a couple of weeks and try again.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
