SMMC chicas accountability log

OKAY GIRLS!!!

Let's do this thing! Let's just take it one day at a time and see how it goes. You must COMMIT to coming on here daily and logging EVERY SINGLE BITE you put in your mouth, as well as the Water you are drinking (water....what's that??), as well as the activity you had for the day. I'll start....this is going to be reallllllly hard for me:think , but here goes.....HONESTY, remember HONESTY.....aka accountability amongst friends;)

BREAKFAST: 1 egg, 2 pieces Canadian Bacon

LUNCH: 1/4 cup mashed potatoes, 1/4 cup fajita vegetables, 1/4 cup flank steak

(came home and crashed)

SNACK: vanilla ice cream cone from McDonalds

about 15 pringles when I got home and raided the cabinets

about 1/4 cup whole cashews

DINNER:

1/2 cup chili topped with melted cheese and dollup of sour cream

lots of tortilla chips! (I would estimate 2 "normal" servings, maybe 20 chips)

WATER: NONE.....MAYBE 2, 8 oz servings of tea

EXERCISE: Probably on my feet for a total of 2 hours out of the 10.

There...I did it, and now I feel incredibly motivated to be better tomorrow so I don't feel like such a big toe.

THINGS I DID WELL: I actually ate Breakfast which I usually dont.....did okay for 50% of the day.

WAYS TO IMPROVE TOMORROW: Don't crash at the end of the day!! No snacking....drink more fluids throughout the day....exercise.

503-250 - This was started as a thread mainly for people girls or guys banded by Dr. Hoehn in Kansas City, but it's nice to "meet" you.

By the way LOVE your the Bear quote. :pound:

Oh - And I'm married as well but there's no harm in some fun banter is there.:)

This morning I woke up and made this recipe right away:

Buffalo chicken Dip

About 14 oz. cooked chicken

1⁄4 cup hot sauce (NOT Tabasco...it would be toooo hot!)

8 oz. package reduced-fat cream cheese

1⁄2 c. sour cream

1 T. dry Ranch mix

1 cup 2 % cheddar cheese

1 can diced green chilies

Mix it all up together and heat. I mixed it and took out what I wanted to eat. Heat in microwave in 30 second spurts...stir and heat until cheese is melted and dip is hot through. Pretty darned tasty and lots of protein! Makes 8 - 1⁄2 cup servings

So here's my food for today:

24 oz Water (24)

8-10 oz. Buffalo Chicken Dip (ate w/ spoon)

24 oz water (48)

24 oz water (72)

Lunch: 6-8 oz. Buffalo chicken dip, 4-6 oz. homemade guacamole (ate both with spoon)

OK here's my food for the day for the SMMC Chicas, hotties and one ugly bear.

Breakfast: 1 slim fast meal on the go bar (milk chocolate peanut butter)

Lunch: Ham and Swiss wrap with mustard and 100 calorie teddy bear grahms snack pack

Snack: Special K bar

Dinner: 6oz chicken, 1/2 cup Pasta with eggplant

Snack: 2 20 calorie popsicle brand lifesaver ice pops

only 6 waters so far, it was a really busy crazy day. So just 4 liters so far.

Now i'm on bottle of Water #9, probably get 5 liters in before bed.

...you all have been busy and very, very good!!! :)

Good job everybody!!!

So, today...

Breakfast: Protein shake

morning snack: small peach and blueberry yogurt with wheat germ added

lunch: chicken quesadilla

snack: cashews and raisins

dinner: about 8-10 baby carrots, two bites of steak (too tough), 2 oz. chicken, two tablespoons garlic mashed potatoes (YUMMMY), couple bites of watermelon, dessert--choc. pudding.

EXERCISE: 20 minutes on the bike, 20 minutes on the treadmill

We went and joined the YMCA today. I am determined to get back in the habit of working out. Once I am hitting it hard... I plan on reigning in my eating. Baby steps...

Midnight "Snack" - 100 cal packet of instant Grits

Breakfast - Protein Bar

Lunch - 2 Deviled Eggs

- 1 Cheese Ravioli

- 1 Bite size Piece of Turkey Breast

- 1 sample cup of Feta

* last 3 items were samples from the Target Deli

Dinner - 5-6 pieces elbow macaroni

tossed with basil, parmesan, broccoli & olive oil.

- 1 Baked Salmon, Feta & Basil Pinwheel

Snacks - 1 Graham Cracker

- approx 2 Tbl of those dreaded M&M Mini's

Diane,

What Protein bars do you eat?

Basically it tends to be a combination of whatever is on sale with an eye on the carb/protein ratio. Right now the bars I'm eating are DETOUR-BUZZ caffeinated Carmel Peanut 330cal/26carb/30prot.

Not the best ratio but the bars were on sale at GNC for 50% off as the expiration code was coming up in Sep and I bought them the first week of the month so I could get the extra 20% Gold Member discount.

They are big enough that one bar usually takes me over an hour to eat in the mornings at work.

CATE - I have to ask. Are you sure you don't want to move back to KC and be my personal Chef? I can't pay you or anything but OMG your daily food lists make me DROOL! :hungry:

I've already printed a copy of that chicken Dip to make.

Here's my run down of the day:

Pre-Breakfast: 2 cubes of cheese and a bite size piece of summer sausage

Breakfast: FF Yogurt, coffee with 2 creamers (gotta remember to log that stuff too:rolleyes: )

Lunch: Pickle, slice of tomato, 4 oz sliced roast beef lunchmeat, 2 Tbsp mayo, 1 serving potato chips

Dinner: Just don't feel like it....just got home from a very long hard day at work and it's 9 oclock:mad:

Water: No time for it today...although I'm dying of thirst right now...all in only about 32 oz today...will probably gulp some before bed though.

Exercise: I posted on our usual thread, but I'm just still in awe. I knew I worked hard and felt exhausted when I got home from work every day but now I know why. I wore my podometer to work today, and in one day I clocked 15,323 steps, which comes to 5.81 miles walked and 947 calories burned:eek: :D :D  Anybody want my job??

That brings my total cals today to 733 calories and 45 gms Protein.

:D

Robyn - I am in awe. I can't imagine being able to do that each day much less even consider doing more excersize once I got home.

I think maybe that is why I'm also so apprehensive about "working out" on my days off too. I'm beat from "working out" at my day job:rolleyes:

Problem is....it can at times be "aerobic", but most of the time just average activity....so I"m not really getting an aerobic workout through the week unless I push myself else where with actual "exercise" on my days off.....no way in heck I could go for a walk after work:omg:

It's no wonder nursing has one of the highest burn out rates:(
