Okay....

hmmmmm I'm having trouble for some reason with my Water intake. Not physical trouble.....

Pre-op and up until my last fill I very easily drank at least 8 cups of Water a day. It was especially easy at work while at my desk (a lil' harder on the wknds away from work). I kept ticky marks to track my water intake so I knew where I was at and how much more I needed. It really did the trick and helped me stay on the water intake track.

I just now noticed that since my last fill (25 Aug) I have sooooo not been keeping up with the water intake. I did notice ...(at work) that I wasn't keeping on top of it...and did try; albeit half heartedly I guess. And it has gotten worse and worse and worse. I noticed today I only drank about one cup of water at work. WTF??? I think it started because I was "scared/anxious" to drink too much after my last fill.....and then....I don't know if it became habit to not drink it or if I was experiencing difficulty (& maybe just didn't recognize it?)?

In any event I've GOT TO GET A GRIP on my water intake and drink more of it.....like I was before.

I have put this as a second goal for myself on our Canuck Challenge for Oct.

All that to say....has anyone else noticed their water intake has drastically been reduced for one reason or another (even if subconsciously?).

Yoda, I seem to be haveing awful trouble drinking Water too. Before banding i drank tons, at least two litres a day, now for some reason i don't seem to think about drinking. Weird eh? i think i will add that to my challenge for oct....drink 8 glasses of water.

Yeah? See that is just plain weird, eh Neenagh? Why are we doing that (not doing it!) when we did it before?!!!

It's like some kind of message screw up, i mean our brains think we are full, is it possible that it thinks we dont need to drink either? just thinking out loud

I too love to drink Water before my surgery. Around 2 litres a day, but I always loved to guzzle it. I think that is why I don't drink as much now, cause it dosent feel the same when you can't guzzle it. For me anyway.

Yeah, that may be it Cloe. Plus part of me fears the guzzlin' thing.

Yeah Loriely....I drink a lot of crystal light (well I used to drink more of it before my last fill). I really love the strawberry bananna one and the raspberry/cranberry one (I think that is it)....and the lime. I also find them sweet, but I just add in more Water. I actually got Mr Yoda hooked on the single packets....he takes those to work every day. Mind you I haven't been drinking crystal light at work; only at home. I should maybe try to bring some to work. But....unfortunately, like the Water situation, I find that I'm not drinking enough of ANYthing....including the crystal light.

I didn't do well with it today, either....I think I forgot! I had one bottle at work (I should be having - and used to have- four).

Okay fellow Canucks....

as you may have seen, I'm off to the in-laws on Sat for TGiving weekend.

And....as luck (?) would have it, my (*&%$#$%&%$# PD started this afternoon. *sigh*. I have a fibroid and with that wonderful being brings a lot of pain and a flow like you would NOT believe (I won't even go there! Just know that Niagara Falls is a trickle in comparison if you get my meaning!). For me, (pain and flow wise) the worst happens on days 2,3, and 4....right smack in the middle of being at the in-laws.

%$#$%^%$$#$%^&^&%# SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO NOT FAIR to have to deal with them both at the same time!!!!!

*vent vent vent* sorry...just feeling sorry for myself.

:help:

Go ahead and vent Yoda, you have sympathic ears here, you said you like to drink mint tea, (i think) does that not help you. My mom used to give me mint tea to drink for cramps.

Anyway hope things won't be to bad for you. here is a friendly hug:girl_hug: hope it helps.

Maria:)

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
