I am too. I have been having a hard recovery so I am leaning on my Lord a little harder. :) I hope everyone is doing well!

Sorry to hear that your having a hard time. I will pray God speeds up your recovery! When were you sleeved? Since I wanted my surgery to be a private thing, I haven't told my church family or co-workers. We just need to pray for each other.

I got sleeved on the 23rd. Almost a week ago. I have my follow up on Thursday. I am trying to get all my fluids in, but it's been hard. I will also pray for you. :) Not too many know of my surgery either. I don't know why, I have never been embarrassed to be a big girl. *heehee*

I think I'm afraid someone will talk me out of it....How are you feeling? Are you in pain, hungry?

I'm suppose to go back to work after a week off, maybe I need to rethink that.

Praying God's healing touch over you now. There's power in the word, and it says " By his stripes we're healed".

I'm feeling ok. I'm sore but only in one incision. The doctor said it was the deepest incision. It hurts to get up and down. You never know how much you use your stomach mussels until they cut them. :) Thank you for your prayers. I prayed for you to have his strength and courage. You'll be fine and i know once this little part is over, we will both be happy we did it. :)

Did you say stomach muscles, what are those? LOL! On your pre-op diet, What was your favorite Protein Drink?

*hahaha*

I drank Premier Protein. I got them from Costo. I used the chocolate and blended a banana in it. That made it so much easier to get down.

I like the banana idea. Someone mentioned putting a spoon of Peanut Butter in it. Xtra Protein and makes it taste good.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
