Found My Husband Reaching To Hold My Hand In The Mall.....

Recommended Posts

I love my husband, and he is my best friend of 20 years, he has loved me thru all my problems with weight. He has been my best support. I have to admit, I'm starting to look hot, and we went to the mall last night, and he reached out and took my hand. I just looked at him, and he gave me that young man look, that won my heart years ago. We only held hands for a few minutes, and went on our way, but it was nice. Thanks sleeve for letting me relive the good ol days.

We truly become somebody new - even more on the inside than the outside.

I love your story.

I am a touch smaller that I was when I met my Hubby in 1999 - and a year later I was almost 7 dress sizes larger (long story) - I made him wait 3 years to marry me because I was afraid I couldn't lose the weight - and I didnt until now. We Celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary on the 24th.

He is going to be in Cypress and Israel for at least a month or so, very likely more. I hope to break my (one of many) stalls and see if I can be a size down when he gets home.

I don't think he has ever stopped "looking" at me, but again yes, it is a bit different now when he does :)

Great topic.. My hubby has always assured he loved me both before and after- and was very intimate all throuought but it is very difficult to accept compliments when you never got them before- regardless if they are genuine or not.. He looks a differnt way now and so do LOTS of other people- THat is nice but at the same time- it's hard to accept- THis for me willt ake the longest time...

Aww, my husband told me he loved me the way I was and that I didn't need to have the surgery. Now, that I had it he tells me that he's proud of me for doing what I wanted and he still thinks I didn't need the surgery :-) We all have a loving man by our side!! It's wonderful!

keepin it real ;)

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
