Never give up guys. It's hard in the begining and can get harder when the weight loss slows but if you remember it's a tool and you use it as such success becomes easy. When you mess up just reflect then get back on it. Still got 20 odd pounds to lose but im getting there. :) Good luck peeps :)

Hey Lolly,

I was sleeved May 8th. So far so good. I know about trying to get all the liquids in. My doc told me right before I was wheeled into surgery to not worry about Protein this week. So far I eat Soup broths, sf Jello, Water, crystal light --- you know the drill. I'm walking more and more each day, probably up to a couple of miles a day. I don't want to weigh myself just yet; I'm waiting til my doc appt this Wednesday. I've been able to get out of the house each day to run errands or pick up deli Soups. I strain the soups, but the different broths are delicious. I'm going to make a tortilla soup tomorrow (of course strained). Starting Thursday I will introduce Protein Drinks. Do you feel the liquids going down your throat? Wishing your wonderful recovery. Hugs& prayers going your way.

Bridgett

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
