September Bandsters

Recommended Posts

0 loss for me this week again:(

I have a little bit of news I'd like to share... My boyfriend Jamie is scheduled for banding next month, he's scared but excited at the same time and talks my ear off with questions and concerns. I think he's going to do great but he's freaked out that he'll never eat pizza again (his favorite food).

I just had to share this....

Since my surgery, I have lost 15 points on my BMI!! That is a great NSV for me. I only have 3 more to step out of the stage 3 of Morbid Obesity! That is wonderful to know. In 9 months I went from 331 pounds down to 246! This is a very proud moment. I can't wait to get under the 200's!!

Thanks for the encouragement, lisalee. Of course you are right!

MimIn: Why can't your boyfriend ever have pizza again? Because it isn't good for you or what? I can have pizza. I don't eat 2 or 3 slices like I used to, but have no trouble with one small slice of pizza.

I don't eat regular bread at all though.

lifelongband: You're doing GREAT!!!!! My goodness I'm impressed!

Congrats lifelongband! You are doing great!

Bjean: I am his only point of reference and I can't eat pizza without pb'ing so he thinks he'll never eat it again. I told him he may not be able to inhale 10 slices of pizza anymore but eventually he would get to a point where he could eat a slice or two on occasion.

Mimin: How exciting for your boyfriend. I understand all his concerns. It's a long process. I'm sure he's inspired by your sucess.

No weight for me this last week. Went to San Francisco to watch my daughter dance and ate out a lot. We had exciting news while in SF. My daughter's boyfriend asked us if we would mind if he married our daughter. Pretty exciting, huh!? We think he is wonderful and now will wait and see what she says. They are going to Alaska this week and he plans to ask her. He took me ring shopping with him. Wanted a women's input. These are the fun times. Anyway, back to exercise, work and running my 8 year around. Have a great week.

Welcome Nile, you look great!

Lifelongband, that is fantastic! What a huge success and accomplishment. Your knees, heart, back and other body parts are grateful :D (at least that's what I say about my heart ) Keep up the good work.

Mimin, I am excited for your boyfriend...and you! I actually managed an average piece of pizza yesterday...and sneaked in a couple of pieces of pepperoni of the top of another one. Yes, it's possible. I don't want anymore for a long while though. That one was eaten over about 20+ minutes. So, there is still hope. BTW, I didn't eat for the rest of the day, just not hungry ;)

Kareyquilts...congrats on the possible son-in-law! I'm sure you are thrilled.

I'm working up the motivation to paint a couple of rooms in my house this weekend. A year ago, painting a room exhausted me and left my calves and arms sore. Priming a room last week was no problem. What a delight! At least I'll get some exercise indoors while it is flooding outside (in Texas.)

Have a good weekend y'all! :rain:

Whew! I'm done painting. What a job. Now if I could just get the tape off without pulling the paint up too. Anyone ever dealt with this? I think it's just too humid outside yet.

Down to 175 this morning. Got quite a workout going up and down the ladder, bending over to pick stuff up and painting ceilings too. Maybe that helped.

So I guess this is the end of our 4th of July challenge?

I've done so poorly this go 'round, I probably shouldn't get a vote. But if I get a vote, I'd be up for another challenge! :help:

Hi everyone, I am back from my long, long vacation. We went to Ohio to visit my son and his wife and 2 kids. And when we left they were separated. so anyone want me to visit their house. it was long in coming but i wish they would of waited until we left. Then we went to georgia to look up people. genealogy.. We went to the archives in Morrow, then waynesboro where my family is from, Augusta, then in SC and north augusta and columbia. by this this time we were so tired to searching old books etc. so we went to Jamestown, williamsburg and Stratford Hall (all in virginia) I am a direct decendant to Richard Henry Lee, a signer of the declation of independence and this was his family home. We then went to visit our son in Leesburg virginia . they are not separated. they have 5 children.. one a newborn baby boy to join his 4 sisters. We went to DC one day. whew, AND

I LOST TEN POUNDS ON MY VACATION. UNBELIVEABLE. MUST OF BEEN ALL THAT SIGHTSEEING IN THE HEAT.

so I during this last challenge I went from 260 to 248. down 12 pounds. I hope I am on a roll now. I am tired of the up and down, up and down etc. I am up for another challenge.

Happy 4th to all. so glad to be back.... Sandy

Sandy: Congratulations on your weight loss. Sorry about your son. Sounds like you had an eventful vacation.

Not hearing much from everyone. Are you all out there? Is everyone distracted by summer time activities? How about a new challenge?

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
