How exciting - I can't wait until I have another sleever on the maintenance bench! I still have my challenges with this maintenance thing! I actually weighed myself on Saturday after a rather testing week back at work and I was 59.5. Don't worry everyone, I am we'll aware of not losing more weight - I am perfect at 60-62kg and even have a buffer as my BMI is 23 at that weight. I do have my dieticians appointment soon so will pick her brains - has anyone got any ideas about food. What I need is high calorie, high nutritional value but low cholesterol (as I have high cholesterol). So far the only things I can think of is lean meat, and avocado so I need more variety! I am no cook so recipe suggestions would be helpful - I am willing to try anything but please don't suggest Protein shakes as I have lived through that on my pre and post op diets - never to go near shaker again!

fruit. Whole grain bread. Hard cheeses. Salmon. Sardines. Whole milk. Olive oil. Potatoes. Peanut Butter. You only probably need 100 calories a day more. Maybe take something you already have and make it just a bit richer. Look up the advice underweight people are given. Oh, and how about ice cream occasionally? As long as none of these are a trigger.

Puppyphat how are you going?

Thanks - yes already eating most of these things but trying to stay away from the saturated fats because of my cholesterol - I don't want to go back on the statins. Any food was always my trigger :-) but now quantities are so small I have no worries about over eating these days - it is more about the quality of what I am eating which I am trying to constantly improve.

Try to eat things with good fats then I guess. But I'm new at this.

So new in fact that I got cocky and had slimes after two bites of dinner and had to work hard not to vomit. That was not pleasant and still isn't. :(

Oh no misty-what did you eat for dinner?

Same thing I had last night, filet steak and sauté veg. I had a bite of the steak and knew it wasn't working. :(

I'm happy because I just got to eat a scotch fillet steak with mushrooms, capsicums and onion. I had a little battle getting it to stay down. But it did!

A bit excited- am toying with buying a gorgeous tan fitted leather jacket. It's beautiful (Ben Sherman- need I say more lol) and I am thinking I could justify the $400 price tag if I called it my "Goal Celebratory Gift to Me" :) it's still a size L and though it fits will look a lot better with another 10 kg off so there shouldn't be any issues with it not fitting any longer ;)

Hi all my Sleevers friends

Sorry I haven't dropped by for a while, have been launching our new business into Australia and NZ which has been full on, so with myself also working full-time, raising 4 children plus 1 new grandchild and fitting in my workouts 6 days per week, spare time is something I do not have. Whilst hubby is in Sydney today for our business, a great opportunity for me to catch up on our thread to see how everyone is going :)

Our new business is offering healthy black coffee, latte, green tea, mocha and hot chocolate - all infused with Ganoderma Lucidum :) I would love to send you all some free samples and get your opinion. Send me your address via email or text to my mobile 0488136443 and I will put some in the mail to you all....

Our website is http://www.ogpreneurs.organogold.com/r/AU/index.html if you want to check it out

I don't like talking business on this site but as we are all on this journey to change our lives for the better and live a healthy and productive lifestyle, I would welcome you all to give my coffee a try, that's all....

So I really hope everyone is doing well. I am nearly at my 12 months out (July 20, 2012) and I am down 50kgs, with about 7kgs to go to my goal. Life is awesome and every single day is a blessing to me :)

Love to you all

Shelley

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
