Welcome Lessofmeismore :) I hope we can provide some support when you need, and a little bit of inspiration.

Nessa, looking good!! Congrats you look awesome...and give yourself time, the 70's will come soon.

So, I was shopping on the weekend for a 21st party I have been invited to (cant believe that I have been invited to a 21st that is not family), it is a rainbow theme, no black or white allowed. Difficult for me, as I love my black, atleast a little bit. Anyway, I have been able to shop in normal stores for probably a year now, and yet everytime I go into one I still feel like a fraud that should be looking only at the scarves and jewelery....when is my head going to get it :(

Think Pantene ........... it won't happen over night, but it will happen!

It's one of those things we don't have control of. With everything else on this VSG journey we've had an element of control ie reward for effort.

I'm really inconsistent with these thoughts. I've gone from 46 inch jeans to 32's. Sometimes I look at myself and think "You look phucking amazing dude" other times I think "how can you have lost all that weight and still look fat".

I'm always picking up jeans / shorts / shirts THAT I OWN and think, you can't fit into that!

I just laugh at myself now because it's happening less and less often. And before I never paid myself a compliment for how I looked, so I'm taking what I can get!

Weighed myself today. 80.1kg. Last week 81.6kg. Dammit I just want to get out of the 80's but it's taking FOREVER.

You are looking fantastic!

It is amazing what our minds can tell ourselves and it has been proven that we are far more critical of ourselves than others are! Saw this interesting thing on TV - can't remember what show, anyway, they got three women to describe themselves to a identity sketch artists and then they got strangers to describe each woman - the pictures the artists came up with when the women described themselves were far less flattering than when strangers described them. They focused on their bad points where strangers focused on all there good characteristics - so the moral of the story is we must ALL look feckin' awesome to everybody else!!

Off topick, but watch The Voice tonight...keep an eye out for me. I'm sitting next to a tunnel, very back row wearing a pink cardi and the band will be on my left.

I saw Harrison, Bec & Sebastian, Kiyomi and Danielle perform. Can't remember who else. Not sure exactly which they will show tonight

The judges also performed a Muse song. And I think Delta has cellulite, as she was almost in front of where I sat, as was Seal before he walked through the dancers.

Nessa - looking amaze-balls!!

I am excited that I am almost in double digits!! I weighed in at 100.2kg today - so very close now I can "taste" it :)

I showed someone at work my "Before" photo today and they refused to believe it was me lol. Took someone from my staff who'd been around for longer to confirm it hahahahaha. An awesome compliment :)

Have training in Newcastle next week which will be great. Good shopping in Newcastle I hear :) Also going out to a new Japanese restaurant with friends - love it cause they do "small" portions (3 pieces) which should just be enough lol. Going to be great!!

All is well - had a weird experience yesterday though. Quickly developed pain across my upper back (shoulder blades) that ended up wrapped around my front (ribs). it was really odd - an aching pain, not sharp. I wondered if it was dehydration as I'd been busy and I realised that I had only drank 400ml by 5pm. It lasted hours, really uncomfortable and after several panadol finally eased enough to sleep. Couldn't eat as it was quite distressing but ate fairly normally today.

I don't have a GP here (since I've recently moved) but if it happens again I will have to get it seen to. Was quite upsetting, painful and I have to admit Iwas worried it would return today but I am all right so far :)

Hope you're all well! Cheers, Liss

Nearly in double digits! Great work Liss! I also wouldn't recognise you from your first photos!

I would get that pain checked out. I have heard that you can develop gallstones from rapid weight loss so it might be a twinge from your gall bladder - if it was a full on attack you would know about it as it is terrible pain I am told. I have gallstones but have never had an attack but have experienced a similar pain as you under my right shoulder blade and then moving to under my right ribs - I must admit that since I have lost weight I haven't felt that sensation!

Way to go Liss...i know how huge it is to make double digits!! You have worked so hard and done so well.

How awesome does it feel to have people not believe the before pics.

Definitely get the pain checked out, sounds somewhat similar to the gallbladder pain I was getting (before it got taken out). But you never know with these pains.

I agree it sounds like a gall bladder attack. I used to get them but haven't in quite a while. But how long since you were double digits?! You are rocking it!

I bet you are looking pretty "amaze-balls" (lol!) yourself.Glad you are feeling better but it does sound like visceral referred pain.Gall bladder appears to be common post sleeve.Enjoy Newcastle- it has gorgeous beaches and lakes.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
