Hi all' date='

I haven't been in here for a while. I have been traveling and am just getting by/ planning one day at a time.

Glad to hear you are all doing so well with your weight loss. It is awesome early on when the weight literally falls off you, and you are all seeing that.

Today is the first time I have been shopping over here, in Oregon at the moment where they have no sales tax....so time for some new clothes. I have loved shopping, so many options. I even bought some cloths today which are a size 10 here, which is like a 12.....I actually have to try cloths on to see if they are too big...this is huge for me as I am used to only looking at the size 26 clothes and feeling disappointed when I found nothing I liked.

I am however having a hard time with food, at 11 months out I can eat more than most of you. It is hard to get good nutritious food while on the road, am trying. Can only imagne I will be putting on weight. I am trying to make sure I work out and choose physical activities, hiking, cycling. The other day I went zip lining which I LOVED..which I could never do before as I was always over the max weight....am loving being physically do everything that I want.

Good luck to you all on your continued journeys.[/quote']

Sounds like you are having fun with the shopping! I am now going to ask a really silly question - I can already hear everyone laughing - did your staples set off the metal detors at any of the airports?

Sueoco, not a silly question I actually wondered that the first time I went through a machine. No they didn't.

But something interesting this time, I went through a full body scan machine. I now have a lot of excess skin, and the paces that there is a lot got padded down this time by security....so I guess it doesn't like baggy skin. Can't wait to get rid of the skin.

That is great news!! I would have done the same instead of having to wait out the year for phi if you can access super as you still have to come up with the gap etc anyway and it allows you to start your journey a year earlier :)

Best of luck with it all Scotty

Aussiegirl - you so deserve to be having a blast tripping around the USA, I envy you so much and you inspire me to what's ahead of us all in life and not held back by the dreaded weight.

I really think that will be on my bucket list to start some travels with the family. So excited and thankful that I made this decision to get the sleeve as can feel my life changing for the best each day :)

I never thought about the staples and honestly thought they must dissolve or something over time...dah !!

Have a great day everyone.

one more sleep to go until sleeve day! Surprisingly calm at the moment but am sure i wont get a wink of sleep tonight and I'll no doubt be crying before i go in - haha i'm such a wuss but seriously freaked out by going under!

i can't beleive I've been waiting a whole year already! A few months ago it was dragging along so slowly and now it seems like I've barely had enough time for it to register!

Was unpacking boxes yesterday full of old clothes that were for a skinnier susie a few years ago. I've picked a size 16 pair of gorgeous jeans and a beautiful sparkly top that I used to LOVE! I've hung them up and kept the rest stored (for now!). So now i have a goal to chase and work hard for.

I too can't wait to feel comfortable enough in my own skin to get some travel under my belt! I have loads of family and friends all around europe and I would love to go and see/meet them all!

Have a great day guys :)

Hey susie! You know we'll be thinking of you tomorrow!!! I know you'll be just fine and come out the other side cheering... Well maybe not cheering jk maybe a little heavy-tongued and dopey-speeched ;) but I'm so jealous and hope my time goes as fast as yours, hey maybe you'll be skinny-susie cheering me on!!!

Best of luck!!!!

I went through Oclinic. No dramas, lovely people an have been very good at answering my silly questions, very promptly. A good deal too, 2x psych visits and 10 dietitian visits, all in the 1 place. I'm happy there.

Another 21kg loser here! I saw my surgeon yesterday, 10 weeks post op. 21kg includes my 2 weeks pre surgery.

Last time I lost that much, it took me a year.

This is awesome.

Everyday is still a learning process as to what I can and can't eat. I still need to train myself to eat slowly and chew thoroughly.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
