Hmmm puréed is hard but I took a really nice Rehydration formula, gastrolyte tablets in raspberry, the last time I was ill- they fizz less than berocca... That Campbells chicken noodle Soup blended up? I'll keep thinking and hope you get better soon!!!

I've never seen the raspberry ones, that sounds yum, then at least I would be getting electrolytes. Today I ate a teaspoon of apple purée for

Breakfast and a tablespoon of mashed potato for lunch. No dinner. I know this isn't good, but I hate having to bolt to the loo with no notice. I was happier when I was constipated. Lol.

Yeah they were very nice, got them from pharmacy! And can be made smaller or bigger solutions and kept in fridge if you're having trouble keeping stuff down...

Also my partner used to guzzle Immodium when he would get diorrhea- not ibs but something similar poor him :(

I keep thinking toast but that's probably not an option... Dah/lol!

cheese binds you up too... Sorry I can't Benitez help :(

Aw cookeeeeez that just sucks!!! Urgh, so frustrating for you! My sister said that this is a blessing in disguise as my back is killing me making it so hard to concentrate- let alone sit at a computer- and with the end of year school hols I will have the girls home for like 7 weeks. So she said just concentrate on your health, get sleeved, rest up after surgery and then you can start again next year. She thinks I was piling too much on my plate- haha, I do that literally as well! Lol.

Puppyphat....don't give up!!!! I have been on my own for 7years with my girls, youngest just 11months when he left. I finally got a job and worked my way up to a managers position. Got a duplex, car loans, school fees, bills bills bills! I also got no quality time to spend with my children. So I decided to give it away, work part time- which I more like casual at the moment, and study full time online. I'm at home when they need me, take then to school, pick them up...sure we live by the skin of our teeth, and some nights after they have been fed, the only thing left in the fridge is puff pastry (I kid you not, I cooked 2 sheets of puff pastry and found some old Kalhua left over in the fridge- no milk to even mix it with, which was probably a good thing!) but the point is, I am around more and I am (trying) to fulfil a dream as well. Dreams are meant to be chased, meant to be fulfilled!! I didn't think I would take this path until they were grown up, but where there is a will, there is a way!! Send you both light and love xx

Lol @ kayargh :D sometimes I think it must be fate too, but you can't always see the reason at the time... I wanted to study biomedicine at unsw but due to a bout of depression/anorexia right at end of hsc I just missed out- I got into arts informatics at usyd where I met my gorgeously smart boy toy of seven years doing American studies in the building next to me ;)

When one door shuts I'm sure there's always a window somewhere, even if it only leads to the basement ;) lol

Oh and both you & puppyphat are inspirations! I don't think I could handle the energy of children even if OH did stick around! I think I'd be hauled off the the loony bin if I had to do it alone!!! God bless you both!!!

Hehehe you crack me up! Lol. Hopeful I will meet a fabulous boy toy too! Lol. Nah I had one of them...he left me for an older woman!!! Clearly I wasn't old enough! Haha:-) Trust me, my life would be constant misery if their dad was still here. I am so happy with just me and the girls, they are a handful and very trying at times, but they bring me so much joy and laughter! Plus They have taught me patience, understanding and what real love is like. I am blessed! Even if I am tired, fat and broke! Lol

Leaving for the Gold Coast...only half an hour later than planned lol :) Glad I have something to do the day before surgery to take my mind off everything!!

Can't turn back now (not that I'd want to) but had a little anxiety last night (late last night of course) about things that can go wrong....no point in thinking like that though!

Whatever happens, happens. Me stressing about it beforehand won't make a scrap of difference. So I choose not to get super anxious :) Instead I will focus on the wonderful benefits like shopping for my cousins wedding in April when I will be able to look for clothes in "normal" stores (I hope)! And being able to move better and faster...all good things!

Next chat will be on the GC :) Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee....

Good luck Lila. I too started to feel myself getting anxious and thinking about complications but I did as you said. Wouldn't allow myself negative thoughts and focused on the big picture. It is all worth it :)

Happy fathers day then kayargh. We should be able to Celebrate it as we are both mum and dad.

I Agree!! Happy fathers day to you too! Lol. Sorry SOB couldn't even drive 30 mins to see them today. But they are not too upset, they are unfortunately used to being let down by him :-(

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
