You are right. I am going through that too. You have cancer? Don't lose anymore weight. You OK?

I don't mind. It is better than being the way I was 9 months ago. Skinny is fun. Buying clothes at regular stores. Not pigging out but feeling pig out after I eat. Life is good to us. Thanks for the post!

I would find a response and stick to it. I find that works best for me in life. like a response of no I am in my healthy weight range and very happy with it, but thanks for your concern.

Yesturday I met with a friend and we had breakfast, and she said, OMG, you eat so little. My reply was, I don't need any more any ways. She told me that I need to stop losing weight, I'm too skinny, my scale is incorrect. I told her that I don't care about the scale, I care about inches. She just kept telling me how my scale was wrong! I'm like aren't you hearing me, I'm not going by the scale. Afterwards we went to the mall and did some shopping. SHe kept talking about her fatness. :( to hear her that way. Then when she was leaving her external voice (should have been internal) said, "I can't handle your skinniness." I recognize that this is her issue and that I was patient by not reacting to her sh$$ and was just enjoying my time. It is quite amazing to watch her little dance and to know that that's her sh$$ and I don't need to buy into that stuff. I love being skinny, and no, I'm not too skinny either. I'm just about the right size (not weight)! And that's what matters to me. When you have friends or family that are struggling with your changes, step back, and watch their little dance they do! It is trully entertaining.

You already are a loser - your ticker shows 16 lbs gone - keep moving and know that the goal is obtainable!! :)

I think they just love you and are concerned. It's not very often that someone actually loses all their weight. They will get used to the new you! Way to go!!

The last time I successfully lost weight was 7 years ago. I lost about 40 lbs, and was nowhere NEAR a healthy weight yet.... I was around 145 lbs with another 20 to lose, and I got the SAME comments then!!! Someone actually said to me that I must be sick and did I have cancer?? MY GOD! And I wasn't even at my goal!! So yes people will see you differently because they still expect you to be fat and sometimes their own self esteem rides a little bit on looking better than you!! No more!!!

Btw, I gained all 40 lbs back in a year. Sigh. Which is why I am having VSG! :)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
