They are cherry blossoms, a symbol of feminine power in Chinese and eternal life in Japanese. They are my favorite flower!

Nice!!! Go feminine power and eternal life!!

Found it DL... very pretty. I've heard that bonier areas of the body are more painful. Did yours hurt a lot?

Telly's gonna throw a brick at me for hijacking the thread. LOL :heh:

It hurt like a bitch to tell you the truth. 2 hours of pure agony... well worth it though!

Hijacking a thread is a totally viable way to try and kill it.

As well as uttering the abbreiation "IMHO"

Hijacking never bothers me.. I mentioned it b/c it's something people dislike *pet peaves*

Especially in bony areas. Tattoo's can feel like a cat scratching you a thousand times in the same spot. I should know. When I hit goal, I'm headed to Miami Ink to get a huge one on my waist.

Oh definately, he's the one I want. Wait, whose the bald guy? I've been searching for a tattoo but nothing yet, I may just draw my own.

No tattoos for me. I will be the first to admit, I'm a big baby when it comes to pain.

Is this thread dead yet?

Oh yeah, Nunez!! Ami is hot, but I think he has a sucky attitude.

Can I join this "conversation?" I have no tats, but have decided that is how I'm going to reward myself for weight loss. I'm not banded yet, but am scheduled. I've decided that for each 50 lbs. lost I'm getting a little heart on my ankle. In different colors---one for me and then let my husband and kids pick out the other colors. Hopefully there'll be 4 and I'll eventually have them connected kinda like an ankle Bracelet. My 16 yr. old son wants a tat really bad but I told him it depends on his grades! Gotta be a reward.

That's my 2 cents!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
