How Often R U Working Out?

Currently I'm working out about 3-4 times a week, about an hour each session. Just wondering how often everyone else is? If I feel tired/sore should I just get up and go anyway or is 3-4 days enough to keep the pounds off? Thanks!

I work out every day. Most days I do half an hour of cardio on the bike, but every day I do my weights. Low weight, high reps. I keep my weights on top of my entertainment center, so every time I stop in front of the tv, I life some weights.

I work out 6 days a week with 1 rest day ( I really hate rest days ) I think its ok 4 days a week ,you can always increase it to 5 when your body gets more adjusted to it :)

I started out barely able to do 3 days a week. Now I'm up to 7 days a week and feeling marvelous darling! ;) IMO, it's better to start slow and build up to it. Jumping in both feet first is a sure way to hit burnout in a hurry. I'm working on the mindset that this is a lifestyle change, not a diet or exercise "program". So, what I'm doing is working things into my daily routine and trying to make them permanent.

Start slow and build up to something that you know you can maintain long-term.

3-4 Days per week for working out is a great start. However... if you notice you're not sweating or breathing heavy during your cardio sessions then it's definitely time to bump it up. Longer, stronger, more often... on the flipside, if you are hurting too much or can't handle it then take it down a notch. Don't let this discourage you! Getting fit takes time and lots of patience. :)

Rule #1 for all workouts though is to stay hydrated! Rule #2 is take breaks in between if you have to. Good things can't be rushed. Rule #3 is to go at a pace where your pulse is raised and you're sweating, but not in pain.

I workout 6x per week and it seems to be around 2+ hours per day. I love it though! I do not advise this for anyone who is just starting out. I've been working out my whole life. I can also do far more intense workouts now that I'm not so heavy too. It's awesome!!

I work out 5 days a week, about 45 minutes to an hour. I do a mix of cardio walking with a group of friends and strength training in group exercise class. It's gotten me to goal and I'm maintaining without a problem.

6 days a week now cuz I'm training for a 5K on top of my regular routine. Otherwise, it's usually 5. I usually go pretty hard, so my workouts are rarely over 30 minutes.

I do 6-8 hours a week. I do 4 hours in classes. Then 2 days I do 45 minutes on elliptical plus my circuit weight training. I feel better when I get A good workout.

I work out 5 days a week as follows for my triathlons. My long course swims are open Water swims of 1-2 miles depending on what I'm working on and the bike rides are 33 mile rides I have on a loop. Runs are not so much for distance but I'll do interval work (fartleks) to work on my speed. Your body just needs time to recover so it's best to let it rest completely.

Run - 45 minutes

Swim - 1 hour (Long Course) Off Swim - 1 hour (Long Course) Run - 45 minutes Bike - 2 hours Make-up Day

i use to do 4 hrs cardio a week 2 days bike 2 days treadmill on steep incline speed walking ive cut down to 2 half hours of cardio i lift weights 6 days week i work each body part twice a week at very fast pace i usually do 5 sets of 10 20 reps of each excersise doing 6 to 7 different excersise for each body part i can get 2 body parts in at a very high pace usually 30 minutes each body part 30 seconds 1 minute between sets some times i will do one excersise for one body part do another excersise for another supersetting with no rest just different parts i do thirty minutes of stretching also twice a week

6 days a week and sometimes twice a day for an average of 90 minutes, but I've been in the military my entire adult life. You are doing great, we should strive to workout most days of the week. I agree with Lilmissdiva on hydration and starting off slow.

About 6 or 7 hours a week here. About 5 hours resistance (weights) and another 1-2 hours a week in HIIT cardio (3 to 4 half hour sessions).

      I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
      I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
      Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

      Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.
