I'm 23 and at 2 Weeks out I've lost 17lbs (pre-op 247). I don't know if it has to do with my age but I feel awesome! No pain since day 2, but I think my weight loss is too early to notice any loose skin. I'm trying to work out now while its still early and hopefully it won't be an issue... I'm hopeful but I think loose skin is inevitable. But id rather have some flabby skin than a big ol gut ;)

I'm 24...I weigh 247 and I'm 5' in height. My surgery is this coming Wednesday and I have been thinking about the "skin" issue once I start losing the weight. I hope I won't have a huge problem with that.

Hi! I'm not in my mid 20's, but close enough! ;)

I am 31, almost 3 weeks post op and down 35 from my highest weight of 269! :) I am happy with that!

I'm 26, and have lost 34 so far, but I had about 45-50 lbs to lose,so I'd say I'm doing well. My skin feels saggy, but I think that's from YEARS of yoyo dieting. Also, I am not diligent with Water and excercise.

I'm 31 I've lost 96 lbs from 230 to 134 my skin popped right back n place the only problem area is my inner thighs and its only visible up close smf mo clothes on. My arms look good, and my stomache is as flat as a pancake. Only if I could lose these damn stretch marks looks like a road map.

I'm 22 and weigh 315. I go for a consultation tomorrow and am hoping to schedule a surgery in June or July. For being big, I've got pretty tight skin, so I'm hoping that everything will shrink post-op and that I won't have the flab everywhere. But I'd much rather deal with flab in a size 6 and not a 24.

So I'm 21 and 240 pounds. And I should have my surgery at the end of this month. I wanted to have it early but between school an my bf I had to make it late in the month and not during spring break. But im nervous and excited I havent been small since my sophomore year in highschool..so six years. But I'm excited and everyone's pretty supportive. My moms had lap band before and it cured her diabetes and high blood pressure and such and so they want to nip the problems I may get get in the butt before they come. Anyways I'm always looking for people to chat with for support and making new friends and talk about the experience all together so please feel free to message me and stuff!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
