I wear a 34 waist pants now. I am wearing a large shirt. Now I buy shirts with stripes. But still confused with the pants. Went to buy pants yesterday & for some reason I could not get my mind around I was wearing a 34 inch waist pants. I had to look on my pants I was wearing to verifiy I am wearing a 34 inch waist. But I do not have any problem with underware.

Congratulations! I see you are even under goal, and in less than one year.

It is a little daunting to shop now, for sure. I bought some pants earlier this week that were size 14. I tried on a 12, and they fit, but there was something about them, like maybe I didn't believe that I was really okay with wearing a 12. So today, three days later, I went back and bought the 12s and feel okay about them now. It is definitely a head adjustment.

Also, this week I went for a bra fitting (sorry if TMI) and came out wearing a 36. 36??? I would never have even tried a 36 on if I had gone shopping for myself. Thank God for people who will measure us and help us. The woman who helped my with bras was so kind and helpful and non-judgmental with my loose skin. I only meant to buy one but she helped me find three, two at deep discount.

Congrats again, I hope I didn't derail too much!

I thought I would love shopping for new clothes - I don't - I was acustomed to one or two small stores to choose my clothes from - now big stores with so many choices I am overwhelmed and find myself going to the woman's department in search of 1x (which are sometimes too big).

Yes, my head is having issues with the tags.

Same thing for the big lady styles. It was always the same three types of tops in different fabrics. Ugh. Now instead of size appropriate, I will need to be careful to be age appropriate. I found things that fit but were a little too frilly for this 47 year old. I feel young, but not that young!

Well, as a guy i think i have more room in the "age appropriate" sad really soo not fair for u ladies but we can get away with so much more as men in that regard. Though when my 14 year old stole one of my t-shirts the other day i thought hmmmm maybe im to old for that shirt.

....naw! ;-)

I still can't believe it either papa jack. I went to the outlet stores and tried on a size 10 jeans from the Gap. I tried on an Xlarge shirt and it was too big. I came out in shock and told my hubby I am a size 10, I need to slow down. I went from an 18/20 to size 10 in 2 months.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
