Hi I'm new to this an thinking about going for the surgery. I'm sold on the sleeve idea as I'm 31 year old male 6' 310lbs. My question is am I crazy to head for the limarp clinic in TJ to let dr Pompa handle this? Or should I Have the mayo clinic preform this ?? I'm not worried about the money, but saving 20k is always nice. Any thoughts???

I did not have mine done in Mexico, but I was a cash pay in Oregon. My surgeon's cash price was 12,000. (plus a couple hundred for little things). I thought this was reasonable, although more than going to Mexico. Dr. Tersigni is Coos Bay, OR., I researched him a lot. I had surgery 3/12/12 and am doing great. Just do your research. I don't necessarily think price equals quality. Oregon's not as far as MX for you. I live 45 min from the surgery center, and would be willing to drive you to and from....and that goes for anyone that reads this. Dr. Tersigni does it in outpatient setting.

Its nice to be close to your Dr if problems arise and for follow up....if money is no object that is.....Your insurance does not cover the sleeve?
