Hmmm, i'm going to have to look into some of this as well. I'm nervous about adding in Iron as I've had issues with it before (digestive issues... not fun). My mom visited me a few weeks ago and she noticed right away. I hadn't. I have always lost a lot, saying while i'm brushing my hair or showering etc, but I guess it isn't growing back like it used to.

I was worried at first because my Protein wasn't very high... I was barely meeting my minimums. I switched my Protein shake though to one that is higher protein (but tastes nasty lol) and been more careful. It hasn't been very long so I don't know if it has helped or not.

How expensive is that Shampoo and do you have to use it every time or could you use say ever other time you washed your hair?

good question!! how do you use this shampoo?? and how much?? but if they sell it at Walmart or cvs must not be tooo expensive?

I just a 3 piece set yesterday at Walmart and it was 42.99 (so a lot higher than what I normally pay for Shampoo sets)

The set has a scalp sunblock, shampoo and conditioner type treatment. Next time I am just going to buy the shampoo and conditioner individually - I rarely go out in the sun to use the sunblock lol but I will use it for the next 30 days and see what it does.

I am hoping by starting approx a month before surgery I can counter the loss. Box says you should notice a difference in 30 days.

o.k I am in. I am going to buy it too. I normally buy Shampoo and conditoin by Ion at Sally's keratin treatment, total I pay is approx 20.00 so 20 will be worth it, lol.. (urgh... i am so expensive, lol)

I started out using the Shampoo and conditioner everyday. Now I use it a couple of times a week. The stuff goes a long way. It does not sudds up like most shampoos. They told me to start out using about a dime size amount. I have really long and thick heavy hair, so I use about a quarter size amount. My bottles were 16.95 and 20.95. I am still using the same bottles I bought in December. Hope that helps!

Ok just a little fact. I was watching Dr. Oz last week and the average person loses about 100 strands a day. So if you see like a handful then I would be concerned otherwise it is normal to lose some. Hope this helps.

I bought their 3 piece set and used it for the month before surgery - my hair looks no different than it did with my other Shampoo even though the package said it would LOL. So I am going back to my cheaper shampoo and will just keep my protien intake up and take Biotin and hope for the best!!!

Hope it works for the rest of u!!!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
