What Are Your Thoughts On Compression Garments?

Recommended Posts

So my surgery date is on 3/27... I'm super excited. I've been preparing mentally and emotionally. I have ordered my Vitamins, but I'm not sure if I should get a compression garment?? Did anyone here use one, would you recommend it??

I have been using compression garments for the last 2 years. They are amazing! I am not sure how soon I can get back into mine once I have the surgery due to compression of the abdomen but I hope it will be soon afterwards. I really believe that the garments can help prevent the hanging skin syndrome or at least decrease it.

I don't have one yet, but you can Google compression garments for bariatric surgery and a few websites popup. Also Amazon has them. They have all sorts of the full body, or shorts, ect. I did notice that some brands do have different stages, so stage one would be directly postop, and so on.

The one I use is by Ardyss called the Body Magic long which is a full body Capri length. They have many different styles including men's garments.. I also wear the t shirt from them when I don't feel like girding up full force.

Here is the website. (hope its ok to post this)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
