I'm doing better everyday. Thank you. I go back to work next week, so I'm trying to mentally prepare myself for that.

I see that your surgery is coming up. How are you feeling?

So far, so good. The liquid diet was tough the first few days, but now I'm just rolling along. Looking forward to Thursday. I keep thinking that I'm going to get a call any minute and told that they're going to have to change it, or that my insurance has changed their mind (LOL).

I see your in Dallas. I lived in Dallas my whole life until January 2009. Who was your doctor, if you don't mind me asking? If that makes you uncomfortable, I understand.

LOL...I'm sure those are normal thoughts. I had my surgery exactly two weeks after my consultation, so I didn't really have time to think about it. I was so busy with the pre-op diet, scheduling pre-op lab work, pre-op class, and my cardiac clearance. Plus my mom was admitted into the hospital a week before my surgery. It didn't actually hit me until I was waiting in the lobby at the hospital.

Oh I don't mind. My doctor is Dr. Nicholson of the Nicholson Clinic. June of this year will mark my 6th year in Dallas.

Rescuehoney - I am 1 day behind you. My dr started letting me have yogurt and cottage cheese after 3 days. I added scrambled eggs yesterday. I think it is what you feel up to and what your dr's instructions are.

March 21st with Dr. Salzberg at Riverside Hospital in Newport News, VA

Very cool, Dr. Salzberg banded me in Norfolk VA in 2008. She was very nice back then, with a different team though. I recall going in for surgery day and expecting my DR Wolgmuth (sp) and she came in and I said hello and she started talking and then said so anything I can do for you and I said.... ummm no but when can I see my Dr? She said you are looking at her! Haha I was suprised bc I had never met her. She did a great job, even though it was removed last week and revision to sleeve with my dr now in Texas

I'm up because sleep is not working. 1.5 hrs till I leave for the hospital. Anxious, nervous, excited. I can't even slow my thoughts down.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
