So sorry you are feeling like this. Trust me, you will feel better in no time and you will end up loving your decision. Just make sure you are drinking your Water and try to get your Protein in. Your protein will help you with your healing. Praying for you!

Chigga, Use your pain meds. If you don't have any, call the doc now. You don't get brownie points for not using them!! I stole that from someone here, and can't remember who!!

Good luck!! :)

Hang in there! It will pass. Your body will heal and work it out. You do however, need to get your Water and Protein in, it is important. And, yes, if you need your pain meds, use them! You've, like all of us, had MAJOR surgery. It is not an easy process, but you will get better, each day. I'm on my 15th day post-op and once you are out a week you will feel much better. I feel terrific, though still a bit tender, but honestly, it does get so much better and you will find everyone on this site is super supportive - we've been through it.

Hang in there. Im one week out and just starting to feel like myself again. Like everyone says, use your pain meds! Ive had to use mine a handful of times and it helps. I think everyone on here has had that "omg what did i do" feeling but for me it passed right away. Keep positive and look to the skinny and healthy future!!

Definitely take advantage of your pain meds. It took a good 2 weeks before I knew my gas was totally gone. Walking also helps the gas work itself out faster. I promise it will get better. Hang in there!

Everyday will get better, just take it one day at a time. I remember crying the first few days when ever I tried to drink. Now I can't imagine going back to the life I was living before the sleeve. Hang in there and look around for tips found so many here that helped me along recovering

I'm sorry it's rough going for you right now. The others are right, take your pain meds and PPI/acid reducing meds, they really do help, even if you think you don't have an acid problem. Wishing you a speedy recovery!

I'm so sorry that you're feeling so badly! I'm 8 days post-op, and I questioned myself right after my procedure, too. Like others have said, use your pain meds - that's what they're for. Stay as hydrated as you can - being dehydrated makes everything else feel worse.

Sending you big hugs.

Walk, walk, walk and use your pain meds! You just had 85% of your tummy taken out, of course you're going to feel gassy, icky and hurt-ey. Feel better! You will love it soon, I guarantee.

*hugs* walking will truly help the gas move throughout the body. I'm one week out and it slowly gets better each day. I'm tender, gassy, burpy and trying to move lol. We got this! Stay hydrated, that's key. Sip slowly, burp and wait to repeat. It'll get better.

definitely use your pain meds! No trophies are given out for leftovers! Walk walk walk. shift your body around - it helps to move the gas. I was up walking every 2 hours after surgery and my gas was gone the first night. It really does help! I also found that sitting up versus lying down was much more comfortable.

Hope you get some relief!

You'd think with all the marvels of modern medicine they'd figure out a way to get rid of the gas before they sew ya up!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
