  4. After surgery I realized my body temp stays in the mid 96 degree mark. I feel colder but when the doc takes my blood work. It all comes back normal does this happen to other people here
  5. Nope lol. Its just mind over matter. You just trick your brain into not liking things anymore. Like for me. SODA I had a big issue with that. Now I won't touch it
  6. Thanks everyone. @ms skinniness Yes head hunger is annoying lol. But you have to stay strong. I've learned that over eating will only make you sick. I battled with the head hunger and would push the limits and be in the bathroom giving the food back to the earth lol. Not a good feeling but it does get easier with time. And to everyone else Who have not done it yet. Good luck and stay focused. We will see you on the losing and getting healthier side...

  17. Wow I was sleeved January 30, 2012 and boy can I say Life has been good. Although I have slowed down in losing weight. I am still losing inches and my Health couldn't be any better. I am currently 75 pounds down and so far I am off my Diabetes meds, I am down to only taking 1 blood pressure med pill. I went from a size 24 in women clothing to a 16-18. I still have about 70 more pounds I want to lose. It feels great to know It is a goal that can be reached. I am one of the lucky ones to have no complications so far and I just wanted to say that the surgery saved my life. I do not regret it nor am I ashamed that I had to do it. when all else failed.Just felt like sharing my story.......

  20. I want to wish all the Mothers and Aunties a happy mothers day..May your day be filled with blessings on mothers day and everyother day for that matter....Enjoy
  21. Yeah It happens. You have to remember your body is low on fluids in the beginning. You have to drink plenty of water and like the other person said Popsicles soup all count. Believe me. eventually it will get back to normal.

  23. I am working out Zumba kick boxing and step class along with my reg training. I do feel a lot healthier and energetic I was able to walk up three flights of stairs without feeling like I was going to die. That is an huge accomplishment for me. Thank you guys I appreciate all the advice and encouragement
  24. Yes I have realized that I am able to fit into a smaller size clothing even though I lost no weight. And when I evaluate my body I notice difference in different areas. So maybe that is the case thank you
  25. I feel like I can eat more without the pains and that is worrying me. Before I couldn't bare it. some foods more than others full me up faster. the scale has not moved in a month and even though I have lost 70 pounds since surgery back in January. Should I worry. Any suggestions are welcomed
  26. Same for me the day of surgery i slept all day and my roomy was moving all around' lol. I couldn't figure t out for nothing lol. But the second day I was moving as well
  27. Yeah it's always one incision that hurts the worst. my biggest incision was very sore for up to two weeks but barable after awhile. try not to wear anything that adds extra pressure in that area
  28. I think mostly everyone had the moments. I did the minute i came out. Untill I relaized I was not doing enough walking and i was not taking my pain meds.. One I started to move I started to feel so much better. I didnt have stitches my doc used glue but it was painful but as it heals it gets better. Try not to drink so close to your meals after you eat. like a hour or a hour and a half. you may be putting to much in your sleeve which can also weigh you down
