Help For The Dreaded Facial Hair?

Recommended Posts

I just saw this ad on tv and for $14.99, I am thinking it might be worth trying. I checked out their website, but am curious, have any of you heard of this or had any experience with it? If you have, with you mind sharing your thoughts?

Susan, I just looked it up on google and Amazon. The reviews on amazon are pretty bad, including a couple who said it broke very quickly. It's WAY cheaper on amazon, though, only about $8.

Ahhh, doesn't sound good. I guess I should have done that, lol. Thanks for checking. I am just so tired of the daily battle with facial hair. Man, getting older is great in some ways, and not so much in others.

I've used something similar before, it's a little battery operated razor. I prefer shaving with a regular razor.

Here's a link to my shaving discussion here: (hope it works)

Yeah, I vote for just shaving it off too. If you don't need a full size razor, buy some of those little bitty ones for the bikini area. They are just a little bigger than your thumb nail. Of course shaving is a daily task { but so would be using this thing}. I use it for emergencies, but I prefer good old fashioned slanted tweezers. This keeps the woolies away for weeks :0)

I purchased a No No and it really sucked. It also burned the hair and boy did that stink. It was a waste of money. ;)

My mom bought one of those too. She didn't like it either.

My dermatologist that prescribed Vaniqua for me.. Anybody tried it?? I tried laser treatments a few years ago... It got expensive, but the hair was drastically reduced and still isn't as much as it was before the treatments...

I tried Vaniqua years ago, and found it to be pretty ineffective. I had thought about trying it again, to see if it has improved any over the years.

I have a lighted 10x mirror and every morning and sometimes in the evening after I take of my makeup I get the tweezers out.

I carry this mirror everywhere even when I travel. I bought it at Bed, bath and beyond. for somewhere between $30-50. It is a lifesaver. I can finally see those tiny hairs that are stiff but couldn't find in the regular mirror!

Rhonda, I will have to check that out. I never see them at home, then end up in the car going somewhere and that is always where those little buggers show up, never fails.

Susan,

I had this exact conversation w/my sister-in-law last week. I'm getting har on the sides of my face? Anyway, she sent me to Sally's for a facial waxing kit. It's strips about finger size to do various facial areas. She said it's what she uses and it works great for her. Just a thought...

Hey ladies. I recently discovered threading. The lady I go to does an awesome job and it lasts around 4 weeks. I do touch ups but that's just the neurotic part of me from having the hair growth for so long. Maybe that would help?

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
