Craving Pizza?

Recommended Posts

Hmmm... I was dying for some pizza this weekend. I found this recipe http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/deep_dish_pizza.html and it turned out really well. It also reheated nicely. I froze some too, but haven't gotten to see how they will reheat yet.

I use a whole wheat tortilla, bake it in the oven for a few minutes until it's slightly crisp. I then put marinara sauce, shredded cheese, mini pepperoni, and veggies on it. I then bake until the cheese is melted. I slice in 4ths, eat one slice, then fridge for later. I put it bake in the oven to reheat.

This sounds interesting, but I'm a crust kind of person. One of my favorite things lately is CocoPops, a kind of cracker that has the texture of cheese puffs. It's multi-grain, has 1 gram of Protein, no fat and 16 calories for a 6" round. I buy these at ShopRite in New Jersey.

pizza would be pretty easy: just top each round with a thin slice or two of provolone (to keep it from getting soggy), spread with sauce, add other toppings as desired, top with more cheese if you like, then bake at 400 until the cheese is golden brown.

CocoPops are great for dipping, too. They add the perfect crunch to thick Soups and flavored yogurt, and are great with hummus. I hope you can find them!

I saw a recipe the other day regarding pizza, and they just sprayed a little pam or a little margarine in the bottom of a non stick frying pan and sprinkle low fat mozzerella cheese over the bottom and add toppings.

I would pre-cook some vegetables and then add to top of cheese and have your favorite homemade and or sugar free marinara to dip your pizza in.

I wish I did remember the site, but the recipe was so simple I decided not to save the site.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
