Losing Slow At Very Beginning?

Hi, i fear I am going to be a slow loser. Here I am 11 days post op, and i've barely lost anything. its hard to watch all the posts of people saying, "oh hey, I lost 15 lbs at my 1 week post op appt." Not me -- 2 lbs. Sigh. I was wondering if you all had slow weight loss from the very beginning?

  • Please don't get disheartened at the rate that you are losing, because you ARE losing. I completely understand how you feel as I too am a slow loser. But, at 18mths post op, I am still positive that

I dunno, I don't think that I've hit 1100 yet. Have tried, but, truly I don't want to eat. I have to make myself do it and most of time I really do just forget to eat.

I'll confess, did eat a very small sliver of pizza last night, it was my daughters surprise bday party. But was right back in the gym this AM running it off.

I eat anywhere from 559 to 750 calories a day I don't know I just "feel" like it would be even worse for me if I ate more.. One day I hit 900 but that was because I ate a little cake.

Laura, I feel the same way. I just have a " feeling" that eating more just isn't the answer for me. And it's not just the dramatic Oh my God I'm afraid I might gain a pound..... it's more like intuition .... lol But trust me, I wish it WAS the answer! I mean, what could be better than having a doctor tell you that you need to eat more! ;) A dream come true!

Hehehe.. Don't I know it! Especially if they said eat something fatty and yummy!

I could not stomach another protein product today...

My doctors order was to eat around 1000 a day

:o
