Tatylish, Hi Im into the process with Dr. Papasavas too. My insurance requires 6 months nut visits do Im looking at Feb.2013. Please keep me posted on your progress.Rt me know what preop diet consists of. Good luck to you can't wait to watch your progress. Karen.

Hi CT. Sleeves! Im still going there the process. Insurance requires 6 month nutrition visits. Hopefully I'll be sleeved in Feb. I am going threw Hartford.Hospital. I am nervous but I know this is the right decision for me!! Any HH sleeves from CT I'd be interested to hear how your journey is or has been going! :-)

Hi Karee!!! Just got approved 8 days after submission to insurance. Ill be sleeved November 6th and Papasavas is my surgeon. Do u have husky A?? Inbox me with any questions ill be glad to answer and give u insight! !!

I live in Enfield but come to Hartford a lot. I have a 2 year old who will tag along LOL. We should meet at a support group downtown I know they are once a month. Ill be sleeved in 2 weeks my last fat girl meal this Friday LOL

Hi! I'm so excited i was sleeved at Hartford hospital on 10/18/12!!!! So far Im down 17lbs including 7 day pre op. I know this journey is not going to be easy but I'm sure it will be all worth it.

Hi my name is Joanne anyway I was sleeved at Yale ( the old st rays) by dr Nadzem he was great! On 9/25/12 and to this day I'm down 25 lbs give or take. I seem to be in a stall at the moment for a week or so now seems very common so ill wait it out.

I am older than all of you - sleeved in January 12 - down 86lbs and loving the sleeve - no complications.

ahhhhhh. at the hospital now waiting to be brought down for the 4th floor and get my sleeve! surgery is at noon and i cannot wait!!!!! pray for m pleeeease

      I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
      I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
      Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

      Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.
