Hi!

Everyone is so very different, and each of us follow different plans and doctor recommendations.

For me... I cannot eat in the morning so I still do a protien shake. It is low carb, low calories and 17 grms protien. I have one every morning. Mid morning I eat an Atkins bar, you need to read lables, but typically they are low carb, good protien. lunch I have 1/4 cup of fat free cottage cheese and 1/4 cup of protien meat (chicken, turkey, imitation seafood)

afternoon snack I eat beef jerkey or unsalted roasted peanuts. dinner varies..always a serving of protien, sometimes more, sometimes not. Sometimes I will eat a sugar free popcycle or fudgecycle at nite if I have a snack craving.

Sometimes I eat out, Taco Bell pintos & cheese, add meat!!! Wendy's small chilli add cheese, McDonalds chicken ceasar salad and I only eat the meat & cheese,,, a couple bites of lettuce. The larger chain places, Ruby Tuesday, TGI Fridays, Applebees, -- all have specialty salads, I typically order a chefs salad and eat the meat, cheese and egg first.. not very hungry after that! Or a Grilled chicken ceasar salad is great!

I am one month out also and on my last week of soft food: I typically eat:

Breakfast --- most of one scrambled egg

Snack--- half a Protein Bar (small one) They are kinda dense and I cant eat more than that.

Lunch--- tuna salad ~ maybe 2oz I had leftover roast and leftover dark meat chicken other days this week

Snack--- other half of Protein bar One day I had greek yogurt about 5 oz-- took me an hour to eat it all.

Dinner-- baked Talapia ~ maybe 2oz-- I had roast beef one night and dark meat chicken another

after dinner last night I tried 8 oz of milk--did fine

I am really interested in what other people eat too.. I want ideas!

It varies from person to person, but I am 4 months out and I typically eat the following:

Breakfast I will have a scrambled egg, I can eat almost a whole one if it is plain, but if there is cheese on it, I can only do 1/2. If I have a couple strawberries or some other fruit, I am only eating 1/2 of that egg too. If I have boiled eggs, I can eat 1 1/2 of those. I eat meat sometimes 2 oz is my max of any dense meat.

lunch I eat maily meat, again 2 oz and I am done! I usually only eat the dense Protein at luch time. I like tuna, salmon, foster farms meat balls, turkey burgers, hamburgers, tri-tip, any steak, chicken (that is what I had today), meatloaf, pot roast, grilled sausages, etc. I try to stay away from luchmeat as it is softer (not as dense) and has a lot of salt in it.

dinner again more dense meat, but try to eat 1-1 1/2 oz to save a bite or two for some veggies, this is about the only time of day I eat them and usually only a few times a week, so I try to save room. I just take a bite or two of hubbys potatoe, green Beans or salad. It doesn't pay for me to make my own! LOL

Snacks I like beef Jerky, peanuts, almonds, greek yogurt, Pure Protein Bars, more dense meat, cheese, fruit sometimes, granola thins from nature valley are yummy. I try not to snack too much, but have to some days to get my caloires up because I can eat so little most days.

Hope this helps you.

kelly ;)

I've heard you can have SF popsicles & SF Jello after WLS - is this unlimited? Are there other items similar, unlimited.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
