Nothing is cutting it, I am on a nasal spray from the Dr and Zyrtec and I am just full of allergy mucous! I don't know what to do - it is affecting my eating and drinking as I am literally full from it and it is gagging me to the point of vomiting bile. Help :(

Mine was severe too. I take 2 Benadryl capsules at bedtime and it helped me more than anything.

Can you take old fashion sudafed? The kind you have to show your license and swear on an oath to not take your 24 pack and turn it into meth. (Yes, it irritates me to death that people so abused the med that it takes an act of congress to buy it now.)

I have had sinus issues for years. No worse now than before but I still use sudafed to decongest. Doctor said it was fine. In fact, the one negative before was that it raised my blood pressure but now it's so low, that's no longer a problem either.

Well I guess I'm just not sure how sudafed or benadryl might help more than zyrtec? I am not congested in my head or chest, they did an xray, it is clear so it leads me to believe allergy. I do have tylenol sinus and other such things in the cabinet - do you really think it will help? And can I take it on top of the Zyrtec I took this morning?

I was sleeved two and a half months ago. I did not really have any sinus issues before surgery, but I got a lot of drainage afterward. I am still getting some sinus drainage. I don't know what may have changed, but my dry mucous membranes are suddenly not dry any more. I also had super smell sensitivity afterward. That has gotten better, but I still get runny nose and post nasal drip a lot now. I am learning to live with it. I have a follow up in a month with my doctor and intend on asking him about it. Things that I have noticed changing since the surgery. unsure.gif

I, too, am having excessive drainage issues. I am 1 week out and thought I was alone wiu this! I have always had allergy issues, and this is the time of the year that is really bad for me, but this is the worst it has been. I don't have the headache or sneezing (thank God) but the post-nasal drip and excess spit is ridiculus. I didn't think about allergies until I saw this post, though, but, now, I will make an appointment with my PCP to figure out a way to handle this. Thank you everyone for making see that I am not going crazy!

I have horrible allergies, and sudafed is always my go to if nothing else works.

For my bronchitis, they gave me Flonase and it completely dried up my nose for a few hours. It may be something you want to check into?

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
