Has anyone else felt very nauseous 4 weeks out? I haven't been able to eat anything for a week i feel like I'm going to vomit when I drink Water. I have tried 5 diff nausea pills and also had a EKG done and everything looks fine the only thing I have done for two weeks is lay on the couch I'm so regretting this surgery

YES! I felt so nauseous for so long. I have a few issues with my sleeve but my nausea turned out to be because I had increased swelling in my sleeve. They find in some people that for no known reason they just swell up more and it makes us nauseous. It alleviates between the 6 and 7th week from what my surgeons said. And that is what happened for me. Personally I would request a scope just to make sure there are no other issues so you don't end up in the hospital like I did.

I did regret the surgery too, now I am so glad I did it and would do it again.

I did have the scoop yesterday and dr said my tummy looks good. I am so sick of this. When did you start eating I just can't do it. I have ice cream that I try and eat because I can't think about eating anything without running to the bathroom. I'm so ready to get this life started but I swear I'm never going to feel better.

Yesssss, I so hated my sleeve for the first 3 - 4 months. . . wished everyday I hadn't done it. . . but now being almost 2 years out it's the best thing I ever did. . . as far as the nausea, try drinking warm tea, less cold Water, broth, etc. . . sometimes our delicate tummies can't handle that cold liquid after surgery. Also, you might want to get suppository phenergen, this works very well for me. . . Good luck! Hope it works. . .

DOnt eat any milk products. that can cause gas and nausea! I have found that the more activity I get the better my nausea is.

and plain Water makes me GAG so I add SPecial K2O to my Water. better flavor and I get more Protein too!

try chicken broth. popcicles, Soups (again NO milk). it is not unusual for us to try and eat more then we are ready for and get sick!!! only ONE bite at a time. SIP all liquids. I have also found that if I eat more then ONE bite I throw up! I hope this helps!

I understand your frustration! I am at 17 days and I was soooo looking forward to mushies but each time I eat I get so nauseated! Doc prescribed me generic Zofran. I also started taking Prilosec. I do not regret the sleeve I am just tired of feeling like I want to get sick each time I eat or drink. Plus run off to the bathroom. I have to be careful cuz I travel for work so I am not exactly a happy camper right now. I just hope it ends soon.

I tried and tried to eat and couldn't do it, the swelling got so bad that I could not physically get anything done. Even during my hospital stay for 12 days I could not even drink Water, they had to put a PICC line in, it was right around the 7 week mark that I was finally able to get mushy food in and they discharged me. the nausea stuck around for a week or so but I have been fine since then.

I was told by my dr to stop taking the acid reducer not sure why she said to do that because she said I had alot of bio in there when she did the scoop. So teas I've never had tea it never did sound good to me but im willing to try it what are some that are good for the stomach problems also would sprite be a bad idea this early? I'm not sure I can handle broth, sugar free anything or Soups anymore I've had to gag them down and now thinking about it totally makes me sick. Thanks for all the replies I've really needed this help.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
