  1.    cbowman reacted to a post in a topic: My Texas Sleevers
  2. These are very interesting posts, I had the sleeve June 27 and have lost 45lbs, but I cannot imagine even eating that amount of food, I can only think about it. So I am wondering if it is psychological. I just can't imagine eating more than 6 to 8 oz at a time, So I guess you have to consult with your surgeon. I am amazed..
  3. I have blue cross/blue shield under federal government program. My bill was around 60,000, which they reduced to about 20,000, and my part was $250.00 it is all a racket! They keepbilling my insrance co these outrageous bill and they always get reduced. I had my surgery at Doctors Hospital @ White Rock.
  4. Iam just now getting where i can drink some plain water 6 wk post op. The best thing for me to drink is hot tea..drink plent of hot tea..a life saver and add splenda!
  5. I understand I will get a breakfast sandwich and it takes me all day to eat it.
  6. I have also tried soft scrambled eggs. I used to love eggs. I just cannot seem to tolerate them and they don't digest well. So maybe I will try in another month. it is weird, because i thought this would be one of the easies things to eat(not!).
  7. i seem to be able to tolerate warm liquids very well also. Especially hot tea.
  8. I was sleeved June 27, 2011, I have lost 20lbs, but have went from a sixe 2x in tops to a large. It is crazy. I also had a black surgeon in Dallas. I have seen people with the lap band and it does not seem to work well. My hair is natural, so ihave not had any hair loss as of yet. So I am doing pretty well. I went through a depression on July 4th and didn't come out the house(haha) I was thinking about all the bar b que I was missing, but i was on liquids then. So things are better now. I am at that 3 week stall, but hopefully things will pick up. My bllod pressure has been normal and i am getting weaned off of insulin. Only 77lbs to go!
  9. How do you get those weight trackers on your profile?
  10. That is a good reminder, it is hot in Texas. i will get one today.
