Feel Good Friday!!! Tell us how much you've lost since your Surgery Day!!!

Holly,

I too am a slave to the hunger. I prayed and prayed that my hunger issues would go away postop, but they did not!!

I have found that switching my PPI from Nexium to Prilosec has helped TREMENDOULSLY!!!! I am not sure if it is this or time after surgery or combination of both. I am only 3 months out, so I think it is more the PPI.

I still get hungy, but not like I did the frist 2 months agfter surgery. I am starting to notice that everyday is alot better and better!! Give it some time and if it doesn't improve, see if you can try other PPI's. Differnt ones work for differnt people!

Good luck! ;)

Kelly

Wow, this thread is really inspirational! My surgery date was 5/17/11. To date I've lost 36 lbs. That includes the 4.5 lbs lost the week before surgery. My weight loss isn't stellar but I am very happy with every pound gone. I love not feeling like a slave to my appetite/ hunger. I hope that doesn't go away :)

40.0 lbs! Since May 26.

"Only" 2 days ago I found out that I could wear ALL my size 22 jeans, not just that one "generous cut" one -- including jeans that were a bit tight in Aug 2008, right before my wedding 3 YEARS AGO, and which now are totally comfy and not tight at all!

TOSSING OUT my 26s and 24s foreeeeeveeeeeeeer!!

Yay… yay us!

I'm down 38.4 lbs since surgery on May 17. I am now merely overweight, with less than 30 lbs to go till I'm at a normal BMI.

I'm closing in on losing 10% of my body weight for the second time since surgery. The day before surgery I weighed 222. About one month out I had lost 10% of my total body weight and was at 200. I'm now at 183. 6. Just 3.6 lbs. shy of losing 10% of my body weight for the second time!

I love you sleeve!

Surgery day was May 3rd.

I have lost a total of 80 lbs.

Today I wore a T-shirt to work that I have never worn before because it never fit and one of the girls saw me walking down the hall and called me slim and said I was inspiring her to do something with herself. While I still have more than half of my excess weight to lose and I am not slim by any sense of the word, I felt really good today. Also, I need all new bras again, the girls are shrinking but honestly that is not a bad thing.

I never measured myself before surgery so the first time I measured myself was June 6th and as of today just about 2 months later I have lost 17.5 inches all around.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
