Amazing! I am 1week out from my survey and praying to have the success you have. I am starting out about where you were and wanted to know if you could give me an idea of a typical day of food and exercise.

Thanks in advance.

Thank you so much for posting this. I am 12 days out from my surgery and adjusting to life without constantly eating. My Mom is amazing, has always been so health conscious and good about maintaining a health weight and my issues with food are completely foreign to her. Unfortunately, we have a history of alcoholism in our extended family and when I tried to explain what food addition is like I asked my Mom if she would give one of our cousins a bottle of Jack and a shot glass with the instructions that they were to have four or five shots a day but no more and once they did that they had to stop for the day. I think it was then that she began to understand. I almost wish the addition had been to drugs or alcohol because those things you can truly live without. When I got back from Mexico I found myself shopping for handbags, a huge love of mine. After finding a few I liked I said. . . . . .that will be enough of that! I get on the scale every day and marvel. I am going on a cruise next year and for the first time in my life i feel confident that I'll be able to do all the things I have wanted to do on vacation and it makes me so happy and thankful I did this.

You look like a completely different person and I'm sure you feel like one. I'm so happy for you and appreciate all that you mentioned.

Ok Well I hoping that I trend the same way you did! I have not started working out yet, but I have to start soon. Did you work out a lot?

I was about the same size as you, but I had my boobs cut off a long long long time ago. I think I am probably a lane bryant 16 now which is probably a old navy 20. Sizes are so weird nothing is consistent.

I remember once back in 2003 when I lost the weight on my own I wore a size 14 jeans, but I was 190 at the time. I never got below a 14 jeans. They were express jeans. I still have them! I soooooo want to be a 10! or an 8. At 5'10" I could be smaller, but I looked great at a 14 so 10 would be CRAZY!

I am able to eat more now then when I first got sleeved. I can tell there is more room in there! The month you only lost 4 were you being super strict with your diet?

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
