Sip sip sip sip... AHHHHH!

I came home from the hospital yesterday after having a Sleeve Gastrectomy on Tuesday... I sort of had the double whammy... I have a disease called Gastroparesis which is treated by a VSG and I am also overweight, so this procedure was to kill 2 birds with one stone... lol... This has been an interesting road that is for sure, but I am looking forward to this being life changing... I feel like for the last year and a half I have been sick I have just watched my life pass me by...

Im trying really hard to drink as much as they want me too... but I feel so full so fast I feel like im going to explode... I am up from yesterday... I was at about 10oz of fluids yesterday.... im at about 15-20 today so hopefully tomorrow I will be up even more... Im still in a bit of pain... My abdomen is still swollen and right after the procedure I had some problems with my kidneys shutting down... Which they got working again, but I am still having some kidney pain...

I must say I am very blessed to have such wonderful friends and family who have taken such great care of me! biggrin.gif

Let us know how you do. I had mine Tuesday too and I have not been able to get everything down they want me to get down. I get a little more down each day and really I think that is really what the doctors expect.
